M64/Sunshine/Galaxy are considered by Nintendo to be the same serie.  Land and World aren't. They are a spin off and based ore on the 2D serie.

Nintendo did not consider Land/World as the same serie than the others. Don't be more royalist than the king.

Like I wrote, M64/Sunshine/Galaxy cant be same seire beacuse are totaly difrent. Mario 3D World is NIntendo attempt to basically make NSMB in 3D and they succeed, but that doesnt make Mario 3D World spin off or not true Mario 3D game, becuse it is.

64, Sunshine and Galaxy are part of the same serie because it's basically the same category even if it's very different in settings. It's a big 3D game with a big view around and the decors are built this way.

3D World have nothing to do with it. It's a sized down game, with very small mechanics and game designs. It's basically NSMB in a semi 3D view built for multiplayer.

It's definitely not a true 3D Mario game.

It isn't the same thing at all, when you have a superior version releasing at the same time. It completely kills off the Wii U version.

How that kills Wii U version!? On Wii U you would get exactly same game even if there is no NX version at all. Wii U owners who will not buy NX at launch or not buying NX at all will buy Wii U version, Wii U owners who will buy NX on launch regardles Zelda will probably buy NX version of Zelda and people who buying NX and didnt own Wii U will also buy NX Zelda.

We will get the same game but delayed by two years....

And it will still be inferior to the NX version so we will miss out the best game.

Mario Galaxy is much more different than Mario Sunshine and Mario 64, actually Mario Galaxy is more similar to Mario 3D World than to M64/Galaxy. But they are all true 3D Mario games.

3D World has nothing to do with Galaxy's games. It's the brother of 3D Land.

You are right about delay, NX is definitely reason why Zelda is delayed from this holiday season launch, but hardly Zelda is delayed for 2 whole years because of NX.

But point is that Wii U version would be same (actually it would be worse because Nintendo will use this extra time to more polish game) regardless NX version. You dont missing nothing, you getting what you paying.

That's my two favourite series in gaming and seriously it pisses me off.

Zelda:   only uninteresting remakes (WW) or lazy ports (TP) and finally a new original game that is also on NX and delayed to the maximum.

N64 had two exclusive  original Zelda, Gamcube had 1, Wii had 1, Wii U has zero.

3D Mario:   only the spin off 3D World on Wii U but this isn't the same thing and category.

On N64 we had Mario 64, on GC Mario Sunshine and on the Wii the two Mario galaxy.

The way Nintendo treated the Wii U was very bad. They basically gave up ambitions with their main series.

Great games like Xeenoblade and Bayonetta 2 saves the day or the solo adventures, it's the desert outside of that. For the multi Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon saves the console from being a bigger failure.

Mario Sunshine was a spinoff too.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Majoras Mask was not N64 exclusive, as it released in gamecube at basically the same time too.And the remasters are excellent. If you didnt like it, its more your problem than Nintendo. And there was a true Mario game.It was called:3D World.Again, if you were not pleased with that game, its again your problem. While Nintendo did drop the ball for Wii U this second half year, it wasnt all gloom and doom as you say

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

And why do you care about it being exclusives?

But I do get your mario complain!

Actually it has, Galaxy in comparison with M64/Sunshine have small hub levels, its very liner, heavily platformed levels...much more similar to Mario 3D World. Using your arguments I can also say that Galaxy isnt true 3D Mario game, and reality is that Galaxy is very different than M64/Sunshine, but that doesn't make Galaxy less "true" 3D Mario game. All 4 3D Mario games are very different but they all are true 3D Mario games, because you don't have one concept of "true" 3D Mario game.

What is more important?

-That the NX is a success and that we get great games on it
-Or that the ego of a few Nintendo fanboys won't be hurt for a month or two

Get over it, Zelda is on NX, with retrocompatibility, HD remasters, remakes etc, most of the time you can play the games from the previous generation anyway. So what...
