That's why I don't take NeoGAF's rumors so seriously since they fail to fact check in cases like these ...
AMD doesn't manufacture chips like the others said and I highly doubt AMD failed to adequately design some of their parts since Nintendo well knows the limits of their chip supplier for OVER a decade ...
I can't see how a major company would fuck up that badly.
i don't believe this on the grounds that in order for it to be true there would have to be manufacturing that occurred in the USA. we farmed that shit to china.

With how paranoid NIntendo has been about the NX, I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. I think Nintendo is tired of Sony and Microsoft parroting ideas that they popularize and, like you said; with the two of them coming out with upgraded versions of their consoles, Nintendo may want them to essentially finalize their hardware to the public before they can unveil theirs to prevent their competition from stealing their ideas.
It's possible, but I think the games aren't ready like Zelda.
