If the toilet is gender neutral, than protective Dad dude should have absolutely no problem with this policy. If he's really that worried about lurking creeps spying on his daughter in the Bathroom he can always just go with her.
I don't know how it's handled in america but over here it's pretty commenplace to see parents (reagrdless of gender) in either restroom with their children (also regardless of gender).
It's also pretty common to see girls in the guys restroom if the line for the girls room is too long and no one bats an eye. (Vice versa is more uncommon because usually there never a line in front of the mens restroom, but I've seen it happen at small venues as well.)
This shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, all of that is pretty common here in the U.S. as well. People are just freaked out by things they don't understand.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I noticed the article and most people are highlighting and getting angry over the idea of men in the women's restrooms but really nobody is talking about the possibility of women being in the men's restrooms... Why is that? Why are men being singled out?

This is such a non-issue though, their not forcing anybody into going to a bathroom where they feel unsafe. Even in that article with the dad, the employee said that he could take his daughter into the family bathroom or the men's room with him. He had TWO other options but no he decided to cry about the genderless bathroom...

Companies shouldn't be making political statements. Anyway I'd hope there were some guidelines in place to minimize possible abuse of this. I could definitely see people take advantage of this. Really isn't worth the hassle it can cause

Companies run our country politically. Making political statements is what they do.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

The last time I went to McDonald's, the toilets were gender neutral. Every single coffee shop (Costa, Nero, Pret etc ) in London, they all have just gender neutral toilets. I don't really understand what the big deal is.

^ this.

In europe I dont think we even consider this a issue.

If your a protective dad worried about your kid, follow them into the rest room and wait for them.

That's parents. I'm concerned about my wife going into the bathroom and some 350 pound rapist goes in there after her. There comes a point when, regardless of your opinion or beliefs (or lack thereof), we have to weigh which rights are MORE important.

The rights for freedom (choosing bathrooms or abortion for your own convenience/desire, for example) or the rights of safety/life (my wife's safety from rapists or a babies right to life, for example).

We HAVE to prioritize otherwise we risk harm and death in the hope of achieving more comfort for a incredibly specific and small portion of the human population.

Jesus christ. Do people feel scared to go into a regular bathroom? These "rights" people are demanding are just rediculous.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I am against genger specific toilets, always been, before the whole SJW and transgender agenda.

Is against the law to rape and abuse people and that is the only law you need. We are a civilized society, we should be able to share bathrooms.

If a rapist or pedophile wants to rape your kid/wife, is not a sign beside a door that will make him not enter, he already plan's to do a violent crime, a social transgression of entering somewhere he is not supposed is irrelevant for him.

A male could rape another male or even a male kid and don't we enforce individual bathroom for all because of that. Why the fuss about genderless toilets.

Also, we share everything, why the place we take a piss is that important? Taking the pants of a victim is the hardest part?

Maybe they should change the requirements for the bathrooms. Instead of men and women, they should just label them penis and vagina.

Here is the Forbes article, and succinctly; it states that transgender people are allowed to use the restroom that they feel the most comfortable in using. I support this, as moving to a society more free of discrimination and toward liberal values is a good thing. Also, if what people are worried about happens, if you have some of these perverts that try to peep on the peeing women, and it happens too often, Target can always reverse it's position. It's just a company's stance, not a societal level of change.
