I'm not sure why you think BOLDING AND CAPITALIZING YOUR TEXT MAKES YOU MORE RIGHT

I don't think anything like that,
I capitalized single specific words (not entire sentences) to mimic the same emphasis I would put on those words in spoken conversation.
Which IMHO helps comprehensibility, especially within overall context of very large sentences.  DEAL WITH IT.

Won't be getting it. Definitely won't be getting the PS5 at launch now either (well, I didn't get the PS4 at launch, but I might as well have given the circumstances).

Edit: Assuming this is true, that is. We still need confirmation from Sony.

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

Interesting that Sony says devs can release PS4.5 version "patch" for games starting from September,
"dual" titles EXPECTED from October onward (less than 4 months from now).
If those show ANY improvement over PS4.0 (beyond hardware upscaling independent of title),
then obviously devs will have been able to implement minor optimizations/tweaks within short time scale.

Yeah I'm not buying the PS5 at launch now either. I haven't played enough of my PS4 thus far, had I known this is how things were going to go down, I'd have waited for PS4.5.

I don't mind iterative upgrades per se, but if Sony was going to adopt this model, they should have been honest from the get go and said so.

This isn't for 4K gaming, I think the term "PS4K" just got thrown around mistakenly probably because it does allow for 4K Blu-Ray movie playback. PS4.5 is more accurate, it's a huge GPU upgrade with a moderate CPU upgrade.

100% agreed.  4K bit is for movies... I mean, non-game stuff like websites, apps, could also take advantage, but not most games.

So basically buying psvr in October is a bad idea, as most likely a 1440p neo psvr headset will follow in a year or 2 to take advantage of the extra resolution the neo can provide. And the original one will be cheap second hand. Certainly not worth 399 now anymore.

Not sure why you needed to quote Soundwave there to provide context for your post...

But I disagree with you, IMHO the increased power of PS4.5 will just be used for increased visual fidelity, fps, lighting,
PS4.0 VR will skimp on those, and PS4.5 will enable them, that's it.
PS4.5 is not so powerful they can push high res AND those features. (only +25% CPU/Memory BW)

Look at this way: Morpheus is launching at the SAME TIME as NEO, Sony wants to create a platform around it, so why fracture base like that?
Why wouldn't Morpheus have the SAME life span as PS4.5 when they are launched at the SAME time?
As is, they sell PS4.5 as premier Morpheus experience from Day 1, while also being compatable with PS4.0.
If they are going to launch higher spec VR platform, it will be with PS5 down the line a bit where there will be more reason/benefit for doing so.
You are approaching things as if Morpheus VR "Belongs to" PS4.0, but it doesn't, it will be co-launching alongside PS4.5.

So they will optimize PSVR games for NEO? Even less reason to buy a PSVR now. I'm most certainly not going to spend $800 + crap exchange rate + tax = $1145 Canadian lol. That's even without camera and move controllers.

If this is real than they do start with a split VR userbase, and ask developers to make 2 versions for a userbase starting at 0 with no guarantees how it will sell, for games that can't be sold anywhere else? Launching PSVR in the middle of splitting the ps4 hardware spec, I'll wait.

Exactly. Why split the PSVR user base from day one?

And a PSVR bundle with camera and the moves plus tax, in Ontario is $790CND

Steep, and if they tell me ps4k is needed for ultimate experience I'll cancel.

It doesn't change a thing, this will probably actually provide Sony with a chance to match the nx in power. I don't see an issue with it, games will still run beautifully on the ps4, and thr original ps4 will probably get a price drop giving more people a chance to buy one.

So the NX specs leaked and we are not aware of it?

Yes. In a similar thread to this one.

Everyone who owns a PlayStation 4 instead of PS4K will be a second class gamer for Sony and your Friends ;)

Thats fine, Sony's first and second class gamers will be better off than the current (and their future) competetion.  Its a win-win for Sony

Haha :D

1. Then why is Sony not supporting the PlayStation Vita like Nintendo is supporting the Nintendo Wii U?

2. And why is Microsoft constantly making XBox One improvements with Updates for XBox One and Sony not?

3. Why does the XBox One has EA Access and the PlayStation 4 not?

4. And why the fucking hell is PSN always down instead of just working like Nintendo  and Microsoft online games???

5. And why cant you change your fucking PSN username?

6. Why has Microssoft and Nintendo backward compatibillity and Sony PlayStation 4 not???

JUST WHY???

I'm starting to wonder why Sony hasn't done this with every Playstation generation. A 1080P PS3, a 720P PS2 or a 480P PS1 all would have been great. Especially an HD ready PS2, because the current PS2 looks pretty bad if you connect it to an HDTV.
