Predictions that the vintage 1280x720 would be abolished in the 8th gen seem to have been premature. Not only has it been the primary setting for Wii U's games, but Xbox One titles also still utilize this resolution at times, most recently in Quantum Break and last year's Star Wars Battlefront.

Is 720p still an acceptable resolution to you, or not?

Sure, I don't care. I usually stream in less than that since my internet is weak. With a game, I'm usually too busy playing to pay attention to something like that. I don't know if there is anything less important to me than that.

Not for open world games no.

Charm > consistency > fps > resolution

I've played plenty of games in 720p this gen, some of them being my favorites. It's fine with me.

I'm fine with 720p (although I do prefer 1080p).

It's fine and they it distract at all when the game performs really well anyway.
