Well, I tried to read that manga about the guy pretending to be a kunoichi, but... it was just too hardcore for me. Dx I'm not very good with... mature content like that DX

Also, it's fun to see popularity polls for manga to see who are the current popular characters in a series.

I'm going to triple recommend something.

First started with the anime. Quan Zhi Gao Shou / The King's Avatar.

Basially a pro level gamer gets kicked off his team. So he goes to cafe to start over on a new server. Domination and hilariousness starts.

Then you have the anime by the same name. It is almost caught up with the Anime. I guess 70%?
I tried to find the light novels to buy, but I could not. I saw one here or there, but not in English what so ever.

However I did find a website that has the full suite (10 Volumes, 709 chapters) of them. So I've actually been reading those.

I'm a little confused. Did you mean to say one of them was a manga, or are there 2 different anime for it?

But if you triple recommend it, I gotta at least check out the manga, haha.

Well, I've slowly been reading through Alyosha, which has been fun and interesting. The manga is overall sweet with a cute style, but then it shifts around a lot, going back and forth. It's kinda fun to see. You have Alyosha, the assassin girl trying to fit in to soceity and be a normal girl, but then you have moments like this:

But then things come right back to the light hearted side with this shortly after:

It's pretty interesting to see this manga be more than just a cute, funny story. Also, panty shot at the end, haha... xD It really does try to cover different grounds. (Actually, there are more funny moments, but I don't want to flood the page with too many images.

Anime -> Manga -> Light novel.  That is the path I took at least. I enjoyed the Anime, the manga hasn't caught up yet, so I've moved onto the light novels.

Ah, okay, I gotcha. Thanks for clearin' things up~

Dang, it's gotten really busy in here. A lot of manga recs popping up, which all look interesting, and I've been caught up trying to read Oyasumi Punpun, which is... just a really interesting, trippy, and dark manga. I'm not really even sure how to feel about the main character of the story, or most of the cast for that matter. It's just watching characters with serious problems trying to function in everyday life.

Did you read any more of Punpun? I'm actually pretty interested to hear what you think of some of the developments in the later volumes.

I finished it a little while ago actually, and whew, it was quite a rollercoaster ride to say the least. By the end, I wasn't really sure how to feel about most of it, especially Punpun himself. I don't even know if I could say I like him or not. He's just a character whom was quite interesting to watch grow up. Most of the characters were quite messed up. It's like warped painted picture of every day people just trying to live every day life. It was just... quite crazy. Also, I felt quite sad for Aiko by the end of it... ;_;

But... I definitely loved reading it, haha. Good vibrations definitely.

Ah, sweet! Glad that you liked it. I think it's kind of amazing how almost all the characters were so awful but managed to make me like them so much.

When Aiko was reintroduced and things started to spiral down, it kind of blew me away. I was super into it before that point but they just kept going one step further than I thought they could go without making me hate everyone. Aiko was hard to really accept because you could see how bad of an influence she was on Punpun, but they were both so broken that I couldn't really dislike her for trying to hold on to something.

But yeah, I don't read a ton of manga, but Punpun is probably my number one right now. Super interested in reading more of the author's stuff.

Yeah, I had a lot of mixed feelings when it came to Aiko. Unhappy to see her come back after Punpun was finally getting his life back on track, happy that she was at least achieving her goals and finding happiness in her life, kind of upset that she lied about that (especially when she so adamant to Punpun about being truthful), and by the end, just... sad. It seemed like Aiko was doomed to meet her fate by the end. She was living a miserable life with likely no chance for anything better, and it was just heartbreaking. Even after all that's happened with her, I can't bring myself to hate her, and I just feel... so very sad ;_;

The same goes for Punpun. He becomes a twisted person, but that was a result of his terrible upbringing, or lack there of. Plus he's had a few messed up things happen in his life, with his dad being forced to leave, his mom dying (he didn't even love her), and the uncle's girlfriend raping her. So I can't be completely be upset with how his character ended up being, even if he was a total creep by the end...

OK, so a few days ago I did a spur of the moment purchase. I got 2 Death Note books, which covers volume 1-4, and a Dragon Ball book, which covers volumes 1-3. So, my journey begins I guess? I did read a bit of Death Note while in France.

Good buy with the Death Note books They're really great reads. I dunno about DB though. Never read those.
