Since 2017 is just a few hours away I figure I post some predictions for the series I read.

One Piece

The current arc will end In July, Pudding and Sanji's Dad are the big bads of the arc and Big Mom will escape this arc and will be the main villain in a few arcs from one, Jinbie will join the strawhats by the end of the arc, Reverie will be 10 chapters long and will focus on Vivi and give us some major world building and development that will set up the final arc of the series (this is years away though) which will cause Vivi to reunite with the Straw Hats, and Wano will be begin in the Fall and take most if not all of 2017 but it won't be nowhare near as long Dressora.

My Hero Academia

Class A's first year will come to a close, the traitor will be reveal and it is Kaminari, we will get quite a bit more about All Might's Backstory and see what is relationship with his mentor was like and find out how she exactly died and of course get a bit of more glimpse into Tomura's past. and Bokugo will continue to subvert my expectations of him being Sasuke 2.0.

Hunter x Hunter

Togashi will come back this year and we will at least get more then double the amount of chapters and maybe if he can go like 40 chapters another Phantom Troupe member will die and this whole subplot of the Princess will be mostly wrapped up.

Also Masashi Kishimoto will debut a series in the summer and will be a sci fi series and be monthly.

One Piece: Guess who's back!!

Ahhhh yeah. I was excited about the ending. I was wondering what happened to Jinbe. Now I'll just hope he joins the crew after this...hehehe...

Big Mom vs. Brook...well, shit. Hopefully Brook has an escape plan up his sleeve.

Pudding sure has a plot convenient power. More importantly though, I wonder how Sanji will react to this. True suffering.

I wouldn't get my hope up about Jinbei joining the strawhats if I were you, maybe Big Mom took a lot of lifespan from him and he might not have enough time to join D:

I think Chopper and Carrot will save Brook since it looks like they got the hang of the mirror world.

My hearth can't handle sad Sanji anymore so I really hope in 2017 he starts kicking some ass again.

I'm reading "It's My Life" despite myself.  It's kind of goofy and the art is a bit messy but I find myself chucking at the jokes and turning the page.

It's about a soldier who realizes his dream of moving to a small, cozy home in the country-side.  That is, until a small witch decides he is the Evil God of legend and begs to become his underling.

I've started reading Shut Hell and it's really good.  It's very intense.  I almost skipped over it, thinking it was going to be something more cliched, but I'm really glad I gave it a chance.  Mature content, especially violence.

There are two main characters.

The first is a young woman who was a simple foot soldier for the Tangut army.  She was clumsy and weak but her squad looked out for her and gave her the nickname of 'Little Sparrow".  However, they were dust before the might of the horde that swept down upon them.  Gengis Khan's forces were striking down into China and burning everything in their path.  Helpless to stop the death around her, the Little Sparrow would transform into a spirit of vengence the Mongols called Shut Hell, the Evil One.

The other is a young boy, brother to the Tiger, the clan war leader Shut Hell seeks to kill.  Unlike his brother, however, the boy hates violence and loves written knowledge.  In order to protect a set of sacred text from the Mongols, who have sworn to burn all Tangut writings, the boy runs away, even though he knows he will be hunted.

This makes him perfect bait for Shut Hell to use against her enemies.

There's been quite a few recommendations here since I last posted here. "It's My Life" looks like a manga I could get into. The artstyle looks pretty nice and it looks fun. Perhaps I'll look into it more, haha.

Looks nice! I'm jealous. Those One Piece volumes look bigger, are they box sets or something?

I've been meaning to start building a physical manga collection, and finally started now that I've moved into a bigger place. Been putting it off since I would read new chapters online anyway...but having a physical collection of some of my favorite series would just look awesome.

Most of my favorites are way too long, but I've been buying random Nisekoi volumes, and think I'll start collecting some recent ongoing stuff too, like Food Wars or My Hero Academia.

The One Piece volumes are 3 volumes in 1 though the paper and build quality of them could be a lot better but they are about half the price of buying all 3 volumes seperately.

Barnes and Nobles is currently doing a buy 2 get 1 free sale on all Manga if your interested. They do them every 6 months and each time I buy basically a crap ton of Manga like I got most of those HxH volumes thanks to the last 2 buy 2 get 1 deals. Which does make it a lot easier to collect long running series.

Oh cool, I actually think I have a coupon laying around, so maybe I can use that too. Thanks for the tip!

Started reading a manga called Wotaku ni koi  wa Muzukashii. Its basically about 2 middle school friends that are reunited when they get jobs at the same company. Both of them are otakus(hes a gaming one and shes a fujoshi) and they get along really well. Its a fun read if anybody is interested, I do wonder when they'll be more than just "otaku friends" tho.
