Monday will tell us how badly sfv bombed
I expect a ~80% week over week drop in the uk
sales below 5k

I will just quote myself wow drop of 78% for a <24K selling game is bomba

Japan will be similar I think

I Doubt. it will have Great legs on Japan, and i think it did well on USA, we still don't have Numbers, we just have 1 Region numbers, and you guys are complaing like if it was Worldwide, comparing Street Fighter, only to UK, and using it as the Rule for all the other countries, is the same that comparing a Xbox One's console exclusive, using only the Japan Sales.

over 15% of All Xbox One, sold is on UK,  only 7.5-8% of All Playstation 4, sold is on UK, and we still don't have the Main Market's Numbers.

Wrong, Ono said he didn't have the resources for ANY next-gen fighter:

Keyword(s): "Next-Gen for FG (Fighting Games)".

They apparently still don't because SFV doesn't look/feel next gen and its incomplete.

Haha! Oh boy, it doesn't take that long to make a game. Especially when you take into consideration SFV feels like SFIV with tweaks.

Thanks for explaining microtransactions, I was so confused how that works. But you're missing the point. They put grinding in SFV so people would be encouraged to save time by buying in game currency. For costumes that's okay, but I don't want to grind for hours to unlock a character. Especially when you consider SFV launched with few characters.

Street Fighter V, launched with 16 Characters, nearly more characters than KIller Instinct, that have 18, and you will get 10 Thousands per Story Mode, and 10 Thousands per Survival mode on the Normal, this per Character, so is possible to get 320 Thousands points on the Same Day, that is enough to purchase 3 Characters, and you will need to wait 7 Months for the 4 Characters to show up, you get 1000 Every time you level up, i don't thing that in atleast 210 Days, you will not Get enought Money for another Character, the Griding is not so Hard.

KI was $20 and I didn't have to grind to unlock any of the 8 characters in Season 1. Season 2 was another $20 for 9 characters and again no grinding for characters. I assume Season 3 will be another 8-9 chracters for $20.

The point is I don't want to grind for chracters and I don't want them selling characters. Give us atleast 24 charcters with no grinding and other shit like costumes. Capcom is going to get a lot of criticism for the way they're handling characters, just wait.

We have numbers for UK and! japan

Those are sonys second and third biggest Markts. Us sales will follow soon in 1 1/2 week. I highly doubt us sales will be an outliner. We also have steam aka pc sales. Right now, everything points towards a very poor launch. We Don't have digital attachrates for the game, but unless it did close to 40% that is still no significant number.

Maybe this game weil have decent or even good legs. We have to wait and see if the lost launch sales can be recovered.

And japan is xboxs worst region. The comparison is a bit hyperbole

if Someone purchase KI, they purchased 40US$ and after 2 years from launch with 18 Characters, Stret Fighter, is the Ultimate fighting game of the genre, and with 60US$ already begin with 16 Characters, and in 1 Day, you can farm the Money for 3 More characters, without need to pay anything more.

So you rather pay 40US$ For something that already would be on KI, than Paying 60US$ on Street Fighter, already  begining with nearly more characters than KI, and geting Every future character for Free ?.

60US$, Street Fighter, will have 5 years of support, this is 6 Characters per year  + 16 from launch = 46 Characters for 60US$, all the modes, and the best fighting game of the genre.

40US$, Killer Instinct, 18 Characters, all the Modes +20US$ per year with 8 characters per Season, if have 5 years of Support (Season 3 already is this year, so is 60US$ + years of season) =160US$ for all the Characters 66 Characters, and already with all the modes.

Do you really thing that KI, deal better with this kind of thing, than the possibility of getting everything with In-game Money, that already showed that don't need to grind forever to get the things for free ?.

In the end of day you paid 160US$ because KI, does not let you purchase with In-game Money, Street Fighter V, will only have 1 Version, soon enought will be at 40US$, but even now you can pay 60US$, and get what KI, would make you pay throught the Years,  but for Free, with in-game money.

It's not like for as KI didn't have a story mode, Survival mode, upcoming Sp mode, challenge mode and anything close to the CFN.

Wrong, Ono said he didn't have the resources for ANY next-gen fighter:

Keyword(s): "Next-Gen for FG (Fighting Games)".

Even if they did, Phil Spencer already said they weren't gonna allow cross-play on the game like Capcom wanted, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what'll happen in said scenario. Same exact situation happened with Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, and guess what? It also went to the PS4 as a console exclusive... to the surprise of absolutely no one. Rejecting the dev's vision for the game is a damn good way to ensure it'll be exclusive to competitor consoles as they found out with FFXIV: Online.

Nice try, though.

EDIT: as for questionable launch decisions, how about Squeenix making the next-gen Hitman an episodic game? One of their biggest and most anticipated titles this gen, and they're making sure their fans only get to play part of it and have to wait a month to play more, rinse, repeat, in a non-tradable/refundable digital format, no less. And if you wanna wait to get the retail version (it gets worse)? It doesn't come out until late 2016 (or possibly even early 2017), conveniently right around the same time ROTTR finally hits PS4. So basically, disgruntled PS4 owners are gonna have a decision to make, nice going, SE!

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

FFXIV is an MMO, and it was already up and running when the X1 released. Creating and maintaining unique servers for a persistent world MMO on a single platform that will optimistically only amount to 15% of your now fragmented player base is a much less trivial thing than releasing a SFIV on Xbox One. Capcom would be absolute morons to cut out a significant portion of their player base for for such a stupid reason. I mean, I know they're stupid, but that stupid? Nah.

Also, there's nothing wrong with what SquEnix is doing with Hitman. Actually, what they're doing is exactly what Capcom SHOULD have done with SFIV. They're releasing each episode at a very reasonable price, with the full package coming for those who wish to play it traditionally. Hell, I'm not at all into Hitman, and I never buy games at full price, but even I'm considering trying out at least the first episode.

OT: I'm somewhat torn. Part of me wants Capcom to finally go under so that their assets*coughmegamancough* can be sold to companies that don't completely suck. On the other hand, SFV looks pretty good, and as a PC gamer I appreciate the cross platform MP. Of course, there's also the fact that if Capcom goes bust, a lot of people will be out of work...

So on top of them not having the money to make the game on their own, they have (or should I say, had) a potential business partner being a greedy a$$hole and screaming "NO, I WANT IT DONE MY WAY!" and not allowing PC and console players to play together like they wanted. Yeah, no surprise they didn't release it for their console, especially with another suitor (Sony) agreeing to give them everything they wanted and put the money up for it to be made. It was just another example of MS shooting themselves in the foot with their own anti-gamer policies and general unfriendliness towards game developers along with the 24 hour DRM and anti-used game policies they tried to force on the gaming community (which would've pretty much ran EB/GS out of business). I mean, MS were apparently such a delight to work with on SkullGirls for Lab Zero, which is why it got ported to the XB1 no prob... oh wait!

And LOL @ making an AAA Action game that people actually have to wait to play and finish just so they can have an excuse to push the game back not being a big deal. They're getting backlash for it and rightfully so. Yeah, I know Capcom did it with Resident Evil: Revelations 2, so don't ask, but that was only because they couldn't afford to make and release the whole game at once, the first Resi Revelations wasn't episodic nor should it have been. Plus, didn't you hear? It'll be releasing late 2016 physically, right around ROTTR's (belated) release on PS4. So those PS4 owners who were already furious about Rise being pushed back a year now have to decide between Tomb Raider and Hitman because of this crap (it caused the game to be pushed back, let's not forget)! I swear, Square is slowly becoming the new Capcom with regards to their business decisions as of late (and BTW, they said they see AAA episodic games soon becoming a trend, God help us all if that's the case), and it's a shame because they, too, have a lot of intriguing IPs.

That's a convoluted response you made there.

Also we don't know how big the cast is gonna be, we don't know how much grinding it gonna be need to unlock the every chracter, but its a safe bet Capcom is gonna encourage people buy in game currency versus doing many hours of grinding.

This is why I believe Capcom will eventually release another version of the game that will have content unlocked. Techincially, a version that includes microtransions and sold for $40 - $60.

I bought a used copy of USFIV for $10 recently. And guess what, I didn't have to grind for the characters! That's what Capcom is going to sell maybe a year or two from now, a version that excludes grinding and it'll probably be $40 or $60.

Am I really asking for a lot?

They will not release any other version of the Game, the Price drop throught the time, so they will release a Blu-ray, with all the DLC, and just that, they will not release a new Version.

I Already said How much time you need to Spend to unlock the Characters, and will have a lot of other ways on the Future, in 1 Day, you already get 320 Thousands Fighting Points on Single Player Mode, this is just on 1 Day, this does not take forever, and this already is enought for 7 Months, before the next Character came out (that you don't have the money to purchase), and you get 1000 Fighting points each time you level Up, so the Grinding is not this Huge.

the Grinding on Street Fighter, is not big, and is much better to have how to get everything with In-game Coin, than just from DLC, i'm saying that Killer Instinct, have the wrong kind of Microtransactions, and DLC, while Street Fighter, have the right kind,  in 2016, even on Late this year, Street Fighter V, already will be cheaper per Content, than Killer Instinct, and you will not have to pay anything more for new Things, while on Killer Instinct, you will have to pay.

I'm just saying, that making DLC, and Real Money Only, is a bad thing, you need atleast to give the opportunity to get with in-game Coin, and from what i saw, the Grinding, does not take more than 1-2 Weeks of a Average player, per each character you want to purchase, from the Online Mode.

But from the Single Player Mode, you can get 3 Characters, in 1 Day of grinding, this let you be able to play 7 Months, before the next character came out, and will be new modes of Getting the Money, also will have Daily Quests, that will give a good amount of Money.
