Factions that voted for Nintendo games: Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft.
Factions that voted for Sony games: Sony.
Factions that voted for Microsoft: Microsoft.

That's why Nintendo games dominate. I've explained this to you before. Of course, it also helps that Nintendo fans are more likely than anyone else to participate in such voting events, because they didn't join first and foremost for console wars. Additionally, a look at historic sales data also shows that Nintendo dominates. Is it really surprising that the publisher who made the most all-time greats by far handily wins in a popularity contest?

As for the greatest users, the people who make it far aren't voted for by only one faction. I suppose that means that Sony fans aren't exactly popular, even among Sony fans.

Just stop it Rol, don't pull twists with me.

Even if everyone votes for Nintendo at some level, the fact is that the top rankers are all Nintendo, while people with other preferences don't vote that way at least for their top rankers, the fact that OoT has been the top ranking since ever is pretty telling, I'm also pretty sure Smeags compiled the number of #1 those games gets, you can see Nintendo games on top have the most of them as well.

Now for the greatest users, the thing is that when you like Nintendo you simply get to know more people around here exactly because there are more active Nintendo users than anything else, you talk about NX and there is a ton of people to anwser and chat with so there is more relationship bonds being made, that's why the most of users related to Nintendo have a better go there, because in the end they know more people and are liked to get more votes because of that, it's very common to see in the early rounds people telling they don't know some of the contestants and are ranking them low because of that, which hardly happens with active Nintendo users.

Plain and simple, this website has its biggest share of active users related to Nintendo, and it's pretty easy to notice it, specially if you are not one of those (but even if you are), and I'm completely sure you know this as well, thus letting it go after this post.

This game me the warm fuzzies.

As for the topic, I'd like to help out if I can. I hope people won't be upset if I post xbox news from now on, from time to time. As gamers we need to show solidarity, not adversity.

Xbox One has game droughts, esp this time of the year (or it just seems that way).

Nintendo? well tons and tons of NX threads."

Well that's a nice suggestion, indeed.

This is why, post like that above.  All smug and suggestion PS4 has zero droughts, I don't see one game on PS4 I want accept bloodboure. Using biased opinions to constantly be-little or suggest XBox is just the worst. However the games between Windows 10 and Xbox One is nothing less than excellant but see by including windows ten as not exclusive, you can essentially rule out most games. However in the grand scheme of things. MS as a business, profits off of Windows 10 and Xbox one. Windows products makes all their money, anything that adds to anyone using or buying windows 10 is a money maker. However these types of polls, numbers, graphs and games pisses people off. Personally I think any game that is on ps4 or ps3 as exclusive. Anything that can be used to trash xbox is used, even pathetic arguments.

The threads are generally barely with in website guidelines and usually extemely smug. Not only that if you post an article, more Ps4 fans we'll come in than XBox fans. look at esthomaz, got banned after how many years of stealth trolling threads. He most likely is on this thread under a different name.  You can't even post a f'ing article,  with out the first comment being smug or a immature attempt at minimizing anything xbox.

Examply thread, blah, blah, blah Xbox One game will be coming out in june.

Commenter, "Well it's on xbox one and Windows 10, totally lame bra! Look they finally got a exclusive out, what it's been 5 months ago? actually it's not even exclusive it's on windows 10 Bra! look at all these indie games on PS4, games that we can easily find a simiarly on a cell phone, yea bra! Xbox should just jump out of the business, seems since they put this on windows 10 that's their plan. Ahh they money hated Tomb Raider. damn PS4 has street fighter exclusive, kick ass! XBox can't compete Bra!"

now tell me why people want to deal with this 24 seven?. Every single thread is a dominated with this bullshit in some form or way. People that post the thread get sick of it, the people interested get harrassed and the cycle continues. It's  a lot of baiting, Then you try to do it to them, here comes the ban hammer, you're an total asshole, blah blah blah. Point being, xbox fans better shut their f'ing mouth and god forbid they pick up a mirror and give it right back at the people causing the most problems.

 #Feelthebern by the way.

Gotta admit I'm not a huge fan of smug putdowns, intentional or not.

If you agree with me that there are plenty of PC users on the forum, maybe you should start wording your posts like that as well, cause this isn't the first time I've seen you say stuff like "there are basically just 5 PC guys here" or "most of VGC has little to no interest in the PC platform" etc.

As much as I agree with all your posts, he's actually right. The problem you're facing on vgchartz for the PC community liveliness is that most people on here who play PC pose as PC enthusiasts, but most of the time they are console enthusiasts who happen to also game on PC. If they were PC enthusiasts they would be, as you're saying, chatty about it. For that reason, it's really important to be overly clear on terms. The question is not "are there PC gamers on vgchartz?" The question really is "are there PC enthusiasts on vgchartz, and if so, why are they not posting?"

If sales of PC games are not well tracked on vgchartz, then that should be subject to debate in a PC thread.

Overall the opinions posted in this thread just make me want to help these sub-communities out.

And for the record, I totally understand your frustration in your chat with Teeqoz.

You can't force people to like or talk about something that doesn't interest them.

I don't agree that we should change our ways in any way to accomodate certain groups.

Not sure where you're getting that from because I've certainly haven't said that.

1. I'd never force people to like something, that goes against the whole diversity thing in my OP

2. I'm not expecting negative opinions to be changed, I know this is shocking but I have negative opinions about Xbox-related stuff and I'm not going to stop posting about them. It's about HOW you voice your opinion. If you're doing borderline flaming threads when you have a history of trolling Xbox then you're the person I'm talking about. context is important.

Mod team has banned a lot of the bad apples, and I'm thankful for that.

Number 2 is key here. The idea is not to eliminate negative opinions, the idea is to eliminate hate and bashing. There's a way to have a negative opinion and be courteous about it.

I also agree that it happened consistently and more towards xbox fans and in the end they lost the battle.

@morne. Taking it up with the mods is one thing. Making a thread about it is also an excellent way to call for change. He's done the right thing.

I still think an Xbox Thursday would be a great idea!

I'd be down with that.

As far as I'm aware, trolling is against forum rules.  So, that's on the mod team.  The borderline flaming threads and comments are something that annoy fans of all hardware, certainly isn't restricted to just the Xbox community.

Not saying it's exclusive to Xbox (I mean what is?) but I'd argue that the majority of it happens in the Xbox corner.

Well, I'd take it up with the mods then.  That's their area, and in the past they've been shown more than willing to upend threads/communities for far less.
