Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What Do You Want to See from the NX Virtual Console?

If I could get my way, these would be the NA price points:

NES/Master System/Game Boy/GBC - $2.99

SNES/Genesis/GBA - $4.99

N64/Saturn - $6.99

GCN/Dreamcast/DS - $9.99

Wii - $14.99

If anything, I firmly believe that there should be a subscription feature for VC. But that won't happen.

I think these prices will be too low for Nintendo to follow suit. I'm expecting slightly higher prices, but lower than the ones whe have now. Also, I also hope some other consoles will make their comeback. To elaborate:

NES/Master System/Gameboy/Gameboy Color: 3.99

SNES/Megadrive(Genesis)/PC Engine/GBA: 5.99

N64/Saturn/Neo Geo: 7.99

GCN/Dreamcast/DS: 9.99

Wii: 14.99

Wii U (if doable): 19.99

Arcade: Variable depending on when the game came out

Of course, Sega, NEC, SNK Playmore (and other developers like Bamco or Capcom for the arcade versions) will also need to accept to come back to the VC, first

Oh, and either transfer the games to NX or redownload them for free with the new upcoming unified account.

Commodore Amiga games.

Amiga, Atari ST/TT, C64 and maybe even DOS games would be great, but many of them need a keyboard. While it seems like NX will have more buttons than most controllers, a full keyboard would be too impractible to hold between your hands and probably even bigger than a Wii U gamepad.

I want no more of the secluded librarys on the home console part of the NX. The way the WiiU gets some of the handheld games (Ds/Advance Librarys) but not others (Gameboy/gameboycolor) is bullshit. I also want cross-buy and save for VC across all NX devices. Don't make me rebuy Mario five times.

I get that they won't be able to offer a complete Virtual console on the Handheld because of power constrictions, but if you've bought the home console you should have access to all the games. If they really think they can encourage people to buy a handheld by holding the gameboy/color librarys hostage, at least let the games pop up on the HC after they are bought on the HH.

I want everything they can possibly get that was on the Wii VC and the Wii U VC and more (specially if it is a hybrid device everything that was on the 3DS VC and GC games).

A subscription service included with online play at no extra charge, that allows full access to the NES-N64 library. Pick the game you're thinking of, play it. Simple.

GCN and Wii games should be available via download, preferably with some level of remastering.

I'd also like to see some graphic remasters of classic 8-16 bit games with beautiful new pixel graphics, and/or sequels using modern visuals and sound. Kid Icarus with an Ori paint job? Hells yes.

And lastly having access to more modern games that never appeared on Nintendo consoles would be great. Steam-like access to old titles like FF8 and so on.

Nintendo should be striving for industry leading excellence with their online services and their back-catelogue should be an area of major strength. That's how it was in the early Wii days.

GameCube 'VC' games would be great!

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Like a few said, having Wii/WiiU/3DS content on the NX... but it wont happen, starting fresh yet again.

I want to see the GameCube get support, while they should get Sega back on board and release Master System, Genesis (CD and 32X), Saturn, and Dreamcast games for it. All around, they should also work towards getting a huge library of games for VC like they did with the Wii, and not with the Wii U.

It would be nice if third party returned to support the service. Missing my MegaDrive games on the WiiU.

And prices will most likely remain the same.

Everything that Wii, Wii U and 3DS currently have, on launch day.

With new games arriving more than once every three months.

I just want that all Wii U VC games will be available, and that I can carry my Wii U VC games to the NX. I don't need anything else.

the games I've bought from my Wii U would be free transfer to NX, if I subscriber to NX account management service.
