It's certainly well drawn, even as it's a parody even on the drawing here and therem but it's certainly no Berserk.

Berserk is pure art almost every single panel, it's completely outstanding the amount of details and small traces filling basically anything, there is simply nothing else I've ever put my eyes into that holds a fight with it, there are a lot of good and also some great mangakas, there is a few excepcional mangakas, then there is Miura.

I can definitely say it's great but when someone throws Berserk there it's hard to let it go xP

Hm...that's true. I don't read Berserk so I can't really comment on it...though I have a friend on another forum that would rave about the artstyle. Maybe I'll have to finally check it out.

I consider Hiro and Ohtaka to be my favorite mangaka for detail as well, though I think the former mostly excels at character designs and the latter at background and panoramas. Magi in particular has some panels that make my jaw drop...it's unbelievable how much detail she puts into her panoramas.

Though it also seems like the best artists seem to have an army of assistants that help with shading and background details, so it's hard for me to directly compare mangaka. Does Miura mostly draw solo?

I think Hiro is good on doing clean draws, Fairty Tail trace is usually very clean, I've also noticed most of the very famous mangas have this style, it looks good and clean, it does the job very well.

I don't know if Miura has any team, mangakas indeed does have their assistants and aprentices helping a lot, but Miura is the kind of guy that has it's own pace, he will just release the next chapter when he feels like doing it, he usually take a long time to do them, the quicker it gets it's a monthly base for some short time. It makes the manga draws really long but damn it's work it, the thing is absurdly detailed and I usually take more than double the time to read one of his chapters than the same amount in any other manga, I can't stop staring at his drawings and looking everywhere to pay atention in anything he puts there. The guy is so damn good the editors let he do it his way, usually there is a lot of pressure on mangakas when they take breaks, but I don't think that's the case with him, people just patiently wait, lol.

Inoue is another of this kind, he keeps on dragging Vagabond, but he gets a lot of pressure he said, the breaks are getting very constant and long nowdays, but everytime there is a new chapter it's pure joy.

You should really check Berserk manga, by the way.

I couldn't get past episode 3. I've watched too much cartoon network as a kid and the humor is exactly like most things there, except they were actually good.
I could cite 20 better animes from 2015 alone.

Only if an A and a Y aren't in the name...

I don't really get what you mean, but this excludes almost everything.

At the beginning of a three phrase name... if they are one, two or four phrases (in Japanese) it's all good (unless Free is involved)...

It was Britain, it is America, tomorrow France and next year, the world...

Warning: This poster has a very negative opinion of Sony and Nintendo, Idea Factory and companies Tecmo Koei, EA, BioWare, Blizzard, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Kadokawa and Sega. If you have very positive views of these and a negative view of Microsoft or Bethesda Game Studios, AVOID ENGAGEMENT AT ALL COSTS!

It's just the hype, I'm sure is great but not the best ever, and the people claiming that probably don't watch more than 2 or 3 animes. I haven't watch it yet and I won't because I'm not the biggest anime fan and the only one I watch is one piece (not saying is the best, in fact is has been pretty meh for a while, manga is the GOAT tho )

It's unique. It's a parody and an omage to a lot of other animes.
If you expect any anime to be the best anime ever, you're going to get disappointed.

I think you have to watch it with your expectations in line with what it actually is. For example, the real fighting is done by the other heroes. Don't expect that from Saitama.
I didn't like it much the first few episodes, and after episode 5 I thought it was between okay to above average.
But once I started understanding what kind of anime it was, I now think it's brilliant.

    Best anime ever? No.
But it's very good and entertaining.

You guys do realize that everybody has their own "best" anime.

I've watched tons of anime...more than the average person on this site i would say and i really like One Punch Man.

I mean most people who watch a lot of anime dont have a single favorite but a range of 10 - 20 top anime that they like and recommend to others.

One Punch Man is definitely high up on my list. Doesn't take itself too seriously...which is the great thing about it. Besides that, the anime just gives you a good feeling while watching, and the music and action really gets u pumped. I dont find it too cliche either, which is super rare across most anime.

But yeah...to see so many anime fans come in here and say "its clearly not the best" or "its only liked by people who dont watch anime" is disappointing.

I agree that it's overrated but it's good enough to be a neat parody ...

As much as I enjoy the series, the "OMG IT'S THE SAVIOR OF ANIME/MANGA" fervor that surrounds it is pretty fucking annoying. I just try to ignore all that and enjoy the series for what it is.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

    :D

It's simple to understand why it's so loved. This is pretty much Dragonball Z on drugs, except that being action/exposition oriented, it's a parody. Instead of always finding someone stronger than Saitama, we get villains that think they are stronger than Saitama, but nobody is. Honestly, the whole anime is just pointless! Of course Saitama will win. That's the main plot But people wanna see how strong he is, or if someone is actually stronger.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.
