I'm mostly on the libertarian right because I've come to the sobering realization. That sobering realization being that you can't legislate the world's problems away because more often than not, government creates and perpetuates these problems.

Right wing conservative because I actually care about my country

Conservatism whether it is left or right only leads to stagnation. It means that you want things to remain the same - unchanged.

Truly caring about something means that you can see the flaws in something, regardless of your ideology, and you seek to create improvements. Being a conservatist does not necessarily mean 'because I actually care about my country'. Other people can have different ideals and still care. What you said is very narrowminded.

I'm not trying to be malicious but are you confusing Conservatism with Traditionalism?

Not quite. I can understand where you are coming from, as I did not get into all of the details of Conservatism, as it can be said, each idealogy is broad.
What I stated definitely does cross over with Tradionalism, that being said, different ideologies can have some overlap with one another.

Conservatism and Traditionalism have a lot of crossover, as they both fear change and seek to preserve things. Conservatism is closely linked to those who perceive to uphold traditions. However, conservatism goes further, into suggesting that humans are inherently corrupt and must be ruled. Conservatism suggests that human beings cannot be trusted and that a social hierarchy is natural and necessary for social order.

I was merely pointing out that what Low78wagon had said was nonsensical. It is silly when someone says "this is my belief, because I actually care about my country". Such remarks suggest that anyone who has a different belief does not care about their country. This is absolutely ludicrous. People can have different beliefs and care about their country.

I would lean on the right but I do believe in things like subsidized post-secondary education and utilities or other services that can be efficiently subsidized to run PROFIT-FREE (Just to let the populace know that the government has the best possible intentions even though that may not be enough in some cases.) ...

I am all for lowering business regulations and taxes but along with that I am also for more personal freedom too ...

In general I would aspire for higher quality lives which means getting more money for the most part ...

I dont have wings

I'm a moderate leftie.

I support marriage equality, unions, universal healthcare, separation of church and state, and environmentalism, but the far left makes me cringe as much as the far right does.

Add universal education in there and you have my views as well.

independent

the two wings of politics, at least in the USA, are both extremely ignorant and black and white on their opinions. good politics include OPEN MINDS, not being as hot or cold as possible on literally everything

if people would stop supporting 'left' or 'right' then we would make strides in actually agreeing on middle grounds and passing good laws. at the very start labeling yourselves as 'left' or 'right' is part of the problem because both of those wings in politics (at least US) are extreme at this point

As a moderate I can honestly say that I thoroughly despise both. I can not stand collectivist, authoritarian nonsense so I support neither.
