Probably the main that has changed is since becoming an adult, I'm not as shy play certain games. So I'm fine playing games now that star a cast of pretty girls and ripping peoples' clothes off, and not really feel a shred of embarrassment xD

Surprised so many are saying they grown abit bored of shooters.
Glad Im not the only one. I basically go outta my way to avoid them these days.

Not sure what happend, but somewhere along the line they lost all appeal, and grew stale.

My tastes haven't really changed since I was a teenager. I still don't like the fighting, platformers, racing, music, puzzle genres.

Yes and no, I'm more fond of turn-based strategy than I used to be but I still love RPG's and platformers and racing games. I find myself liking a smaller and smaller percentage of the games being released though.

I'm becoming more picky I guess, and less fond of first person games.

It's gotten better.

I used to love flashy, obnoxious, and usually vapid arcade games, particularly beat'em ups. I also made a point to get at least one racing game for every console, until I realized I rarely played them. Same with fighting games - a few hit the sweet spot, but most were wastes of money.
I was in love with JRPGs up until the end of 6th gen...guess all it took was one gen away for me to wish them to come back.
Generally speaking, I loved Nintendo until the Genesis came out...but after a few years of staunch Sega fanboyism I felt the grass was greener on SNES (at least it sounded better). Then Sony won me over with the then superior format. I've dabbled with others since, but have mostly stuck to Sony systems since.
Perhaps less of a taste thing and more of a reality of life thing, but I rarely replay games now and dabble in digital content, where previously I was physical only and played games to death.

I can say they have. Starting with platformers on the SNES (SMB, SMB3, SMW), I then veered towards racing games as I grew up and got my PS1, quickly falling in love with sandbox games too when I first played Grand Theft Auto 3. When I got my PS2, I went back to platforming with Ratchet & Clank and I don't regret it at all. Still love the genre to this day. During my infatuation for open-world sandbox games, I got introduced to Red Faction II and my interest for shooters began. By the time, playing the Hitman, Metal Gear Solid and the Splinter Cell series cemented my love for the stealth genre. I still like the same genres ten years later.
