So another year has passed. How much have you spent on gaming this year (for games and/or gaming hardware)?

Here are the similar theads of the last 2 years:

Up to €150 game expenses per month are okay to me, this year I managed to keep it at €100 per month on average:

Even with adding the XBO (and therefore completing my 8th gen collection of handhelds and home consoles), my PC share grew to almost 50% of my game expenses, last year Wii U and PS Vita had bigger pieces of the pie:

  • 3DS (4%) = Bravely Default + Majora's Mask 3D
  • Android (1%) = Shadowrun Returns, The Inner World, Detective Grimoire, Costume Quest, The Last Express, 80 Days...
  • iPad (5%) = Lost Horizon, Civilization Revolution 2, Gold Rush! Anniversary, Her Story, The Peril's of Man, Fire: Ugh's Quest, BioShock, Shadowrun: Dragonfall D.C., Til Morning's Light, Bertram Fiddle, Blackwell 2 + 3, Flockers, Lara Croft GO, Lost Echo, Space Age, The Trace,...
  • PS3 (2%) = Ratchet & Clank: Enter the Nexus + Deadlocked, Back to the Future, Sam & Max: Beyond Time & Space, Tales of Monkey Island and 24 PS+ games
  • PS4 (13%) = Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, LittleBigPlanet 3, God of War Remastered, Until Dawn, Tearaway Unfolded, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Peggle 2, Costume Quest 2 and 24 PS+ games
  • PS Vita (10%; PSP + PS1 classics included) = Steins;Gate, Grim Fandango Remastered, Broken Sword 5, Munch's Oddyssee HD, Sly 2, Scram Kitty DX, Trails in the Sky, Persona 2, Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, Valkyria Chronicles, Daxter, Jak & Daxter: The Last Frontier, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, Patapon, Y's Seven, Capcom Classic Collection Reloaded, Final Fantasy 8, Suikoden 1 + 2 and 24 PS+ Vita games
  • Wii U (8%; Wii + VC included) = Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade Chronicles, Donkey Kong Returns, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mighty Switch Force 1 + 2, Super Mario World, A Link to the Past
  • Xbox One (9%) = Halo MCC + ODST, Sunset Overdrive, RARE Replay (including my favorites Banjo Kazooie + Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day and Kameo)
  • PC (48%, only 1 retail game) = Grand Theft Auto 5, Far Cry 4: Complete Edition, Life is Strange, Game of Thrones, Tales From the Borderlands, Assassin's Creed Unity, Alien: Isolation + DLCs, The Evil Within + DLCs, Shadow of Mordor, Ori and the Blind Forest, The Talos Principle, Technobabylon, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 + 2, Watch Dogs, Randal's Monday, Lost Horizon 2, Wasteland 2, Anna's Quest, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Ryse: Son of Rome, Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition, Risen 3, Trine 3, Valkyria Chronicles 1, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Metro 2033 + Last Light Redux, Flockers, Shantae: Risky's Revenge, GTA Trilogy, Undertale...
  • Kickstarted (all PC): Shenmue 3, The Mystery of Oak Island, Yooka-Laylee, The Bard's Tale 4, The Journey Down: Chapter 3

*order of each platform by price, so I payed the most on PC for GTA5, followed by Far Cry 4: Complete Edition and so on...

Hardware spendings in 2014: around €1200 (€1400 - profits of a sold-through PS4 and a sold Wii + GTX580)

PS4: -$190
Fallout 4: -$10

I actually made a profit on the PS4 and Fallout 4 as I bought them online for ~390 together, but returned them to the shop with my online docket and they refunded me the full instore ticket price for both, which gave me $200 more, didn't notice until I read the online docket a couple of days later...

So..

$263.50 and 26,980 yen, or ~$530.
Take away the profit on the PS4 and I spent ~$330 in total.

Difficult to say, but love the idea of tracking it.... only haven't done this because sometimes I get regret on how much Ive spent, especially when I need a new car...lol

If it's your main hobby, you can never spend too much. ;)

I spent $200-300 in 2015. I got about $120-200 in games that were gifts. I try and wait for sales on Amazon for new copies months after release. Doesn't work for most Nintendo published games (considering they usually stay at 50-60) but most third party games are $10-25 new 6 months or so after release.

There were some crazy deals this year so I'm quite happy.
Gears Ultimate was the most expensive with 30€ but I knew I had to get it this year to get the other Gears games for free. Still haven't received any codes though....
