Finally.. Give me Digital headphones through the lightning connector cause the 3,5mm is from the 70's... Its time to move away from it..

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
As someone who has used 1/8" jack headphones for 30 plus years, this doesn't bother me in the least.
I've been looking forward to compact wireless ear buds since the mid 90s.
On the other hand, if Apple simply replaces the 1/8" jack headphones with wired lightning port headphones, I'm not sure what's the point, but it doesn't matter because every phone will come with a pair.
A DAC/amp combo solves that problem, while even providing marginally improved sound quality.
Imagine how cool you'd look carrying that around. Still think you need a headphone port?
Apple and their famed user friendliness. I love all the choices they present their customers with when making products as well.
Luckily I don't use iphones nor will I ever... Just one more thing less that they have to spend money on, that will in the end cost the consumer even more money!
