Forums - Gaming Discussion - Amazon US November monthly bestsellers and general Amazon-based discussion.

Usually on black Friday the cheapest deal end up selling the more. Not the best value. WalMart and Target had gift card to accompany Xbox One bunbles, meaning those will sell a lot. We saw in some feedback from a GAF whenever a worker or someone was talking about Target or walmart, most of the time Xbox One looked like the easy winner. For other retailers like Best Buy, the stories suggested that PS4 was the easy winner and for gamestop, it was like close to call with PS4 possibly having the edge. And if we recall a lot of picture pre and post black Friday, the Gear bundles was really flying while the other and more expensive bunbles didn't move a lot of unit at all. So yes it is quite possible that Xbox One gear was the top selling bundle. Data picture and anecdotal story seems to suggest the other Xbox Bundles were selling badly. So the win might still go to PS4, but it seems like Black Friday was really close.

Lol..now it's "top individual purchase". Which excludes any receipt that has a console and something else (game or controller). That + the lack of a proper report for the first time (they got it out quite quickly in the years where X1 had a clear win) just reinforces my belief that PS4 did win. If X1 had won, the report would be out yesterday.

You do have to wonder why they're being so ambiguous this year when last year and the year before they were direct and to the point.

In 2013 and 2014 they looked like a normal research publication. Pretty graphs, stats all clearly laid out with market share and retailer distribution. This year it sounds a lot like bad PR. Specific stats that weren't previously given, downplaying console sales (games trumps consoles)..and the expressions used.

@riecsou I always said X1 would take Target and Walmart. It was pretty obvious.

Wii U at #3 and gears at #4. Calling it that wii u will be at #1 by the end of today on the hourly.

Yep, I can see that happening.

Has the wii u ever been #! on Amazon?

is #! better than #1?

Well they said the gears bundle isi the top individual purchase console so this could mean that the gears bundle sold 10 units but uncharted bundle sold 8 and sw and cod bundle sold 6 so that would be 14 units. Being the #1 sold bundle doesn't mean anything.

And that's not even true. Bundled consoles + standalone consoles = 47%, games alone = 44%. People buy bundles for the hardware more than the software.

no. not for the bf weekend
all other xb1 bundles were way better compared to the ps4

1. xb1 has ALL! bundles reduced by $50. ps4 only the uncharted one
2. xb1 has way more different bundles compared to ps4
3. xb1 had more stock available

Well, if that is the case we only have to wait till Thursday week to get the solid info.

do you have acces to npd reports?
because leaker only give full month numbers. i never saw them break down the weekly number (npd does track them)

so unless we get pr about who was winning black friday, we won't know for sure :)
