Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo made potato-chan a midget [Xenoblade X censorship]

We waited 8 months to get this:

Bravo, Ninty!

Damn. First Fatal Frame, now Xenoblade! Nintendo is against lingerie, it seems.

Also, this is the usual comment, but censorship is dumb, no matter what the case.

Well, the Japanese version was inappropriate to be honest.

I watched a stream where a guy used that outfit for her and always had to think: "What the fuck, dude, really?"

EDIT: did they change the outfit for other characters, too?

EDIT2: Where is the ZSS outfit?

EDIT3: it's only Lin.

Great, now she's even more creepy looking.

Seriously though, Nintendo, this is getting old.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Well... to be honest, its not like i was gonna jerk off to her. I don't really care. But censorship can ruin a game (like stick of truth for example) and i am definitly not ok with it.

She is either 13 (in JP) or 15 (in US).

The outfit is a vast improvement. The reasons for doing it are obvious. Having a little girl run around in an outfit like that in the West is asking for trouble.

Guys, don't forget that every piece of armor can be used for any character and any gender. They cut it for Leyn => they cut it for everyone in game, I suppose.

This game was once a 1st day buy for me. I'm pondering.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I'm actually with Nintendo EU/US on this one. We shouldn't be able to put a 13 year old almost nude. I mean, besides the satisfaction of some disturbing people who gets excited seeing that, whats the point of those costumes?

This is ridiculous, do you even know what censorship is? This is not.

Everybody knows Japan is crazy for little girls in underwear, but the sexual morale is different in the west. This is catering to a market's taste and social and moral codes. This has been done thousands of times before. Remember Contra and Probotector? Probotector was a cosmetic change from Contra to cater to the European market after doing extensive market research (mostly Germany being anti 20st century war stories).

The western character looks much better if you ask me. I mean come on, that Japanese outfit is completely ridiculous.
