Well would ya look at that. The same kind of reward systems found in F2P. Crazy huh. It looks like there might be a connection after all! But I guess I'm just generalizing here and pulling this out of my ass because I'm jealous.
On that note, I'd like to say this - I do not accuse any of you for your health, nor condemn anyone at all for playing PC, playing F2P, playing MOBA, playing on their cell phone, or playing any kind of video game. I don't care about any of that. I'm telling you why I think that PC gaming is a little too hardcore for me, why I'm not interested in it and I'm providing hard data to back up my facts since none of you are doing so, and since you all think I'm making shit up.
I dont know whats wrong with this post but i cant quote the whole thing..
But anyways Wow, You wasted so much time showing us something we already know?, that PC has the most diverse Liberay in gaming more then any of the consoles combined and that its making lots of money and growing YoY?.
Now exactly how does that show that i dont know what im talking about?, your the one over generalizing things. Clearly when you have such a large install base as PC has (Over 120 million steam accounts not including ones that dont use steam) the is clearly going to be a high number of gamers that play F2P games on their PC and phones and are going to put some time into them games cos maybe they cant really offered anymore or dont have much interest in anymore?.
Then you generalize game addiction like as if its only PC players with F2P games that get addicted. What about all them kids thats hooked on CoD and spends insane amounts of time playing online? what about all the reward systems thats being added to console payed to play games?.
Gaming addiction can be a problem no matter what you play on. i know parrents that have allowed their kids to play on their playstations and xbox's from when they come home from school to when they go to bed are you denying that this is also an addiction?, no but you would be more then happy to make it look like its only a PC thing. Let me ask you a question. If a person on PC plays say Wow for 10 hours a day, and a person on console plays a number of games for 10 hours a day wouldnt you say both is just as addicted??.
Thats without including games like Call of Duty that keeps kids hooked on consoles. Whats the biggest selling games on consoles?? FPS am i right? now do you believe that many a kid doesnt spend hours playing them FPS games online ranking up and then rinse repeat the following year when a new one comes out??.
Also f2P games are also on consoles and its silly for you to say they are not, and more of them will come to console too!. As clearly the is a market for them so why would the console makers wanna miss out?.
No one can make you play something you dont wanna play and to say otherwise is just silly and is a problem with the person and not PC gaming...
