I think Cortana is going to be awesome. Invite friends, send messages, start a party, check guides and more through a headset and not having to pause a game or go through menus. 

They're literally at the stage of photography arrangements for Kinects funeral.

Not sure about on Xbox but I have a Windows Phone and I find Cortana slightly useful but not much to get excited about

That's cool but when I use Kinect, it's all about convenience. It's great not having to worry about grabbing a controller it looking for my headset. It's just "Hey, I want to _____" or "I wonder if ______". Say it out loud and the Xbox handles the rest.

If your headset is already on or you don't own a Kinect, then use whatever option you can. Me? I'm going to use my old method. Maybe not worth the extra hundred but it does make things easier on me.

I mainly use the Kinect because it makes the experience more involving but great news for everyone who prefer headset.
