I think Sony still have one more card to play apart from a possible European Price drop at PGW. They still have a 1tb PS4 and that means they could make that the only bundle available at this price and then sell what's left of the 500gb stock for $300.

Exactly. The halo damage would already be done by then, making the price cut irrelevant. With this, it'll help lighten the impact and possibly give Sony the win, thereby increasing their lead in north America, and giving them even more momentum going into the shopping season. 

There goes MS october npd win. Unless they do some drastic move to counter this price cut (which i know they will) it's all sony now.

Weird that the CoD limited edition bundle is still 429$. Oh well. This holiday is shaping up to be insane!

I think a europe pricecut will be announced at PWG. It all makes sense now.

No, in the chart you posted, for the Cod bundle it says "new price: 429$".

Oh, right. Isn't it still cheaper though? It's currently $449.

Weird. They only cut $20 from the COD bundle. 

Was $450. Now will be $430. Guess Activision wouldn't allow Sony to cut a full $50 off their bundle. 

I reckon it's SOny themselves that have decided to do that. They're probably confident that the Star Wars bundle will do very well anyway. Perhaps it will get a price drop nearer the release.

sn´t this a bit early to announce a price cut already? Or do they have some heavy releases coming in october?
