Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What does Zelda U have to score for you to not consider it a let down?

If it really wants to impress it should end the downward trend of 3D Zelda game scores. But i don't think it will pull it off. It will still be a great game though, and should score in the 90 range.

Main console games except Skyward Sword (93) always score 95 or higher, so 94 or lower would be a let-down. Not that I really care, because to me it'll likely be the Game of the Generation by default.

nahh. Inside the Deku Tree was very annoying (only because of Navi, but still), Dodongo's Cavern was bad and Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly has to be a contender for worst Zelda dungeon ever. When it comes to mini-dungeons, I thought the Ice Cavern was pretty boring too, while Bottom of the Well was solid.

Of the 5 temples, I'd say Fire Temple, Shadow Temple and Spirit Temple are solid dungeons; Water Temple is excellent, and Forest Temple is absolutely incredible.

I agree word for word on the last paragraph. In fact, the Forest Temple is probably the best dungeon ever, though there's other contenders. I personally am less harsh on the Child dungeons, the Deku Tree is one of the better starter dungeons in the series, Dodongo's Cavern is decent and while I'll agree Jabu Jabu's Belly is the least and not that interesting, it's better than terrible. Also, the Gerudo's Fortress should count as a mini-dungeon, and I've always liked that one.

I agree on  the other post of yours about Skyward Sword's dungeons, most of them were excellent as well. I wouldn't mind Zelda U having it's quality dungeons either.

I wouldn't determine if I'm happy with the game from scores...

Honestly. Anything less than a 90 would be a disaster for a zelda game critically speaking. With that said as long as I enjoy if and when I get the chance to play it, that's all what matters.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

A score doesn't determine that, I play it myself.

As long as I enjoy the game personally, then I couldn't give a darn about its Meta score.
