People are really underestimating the Halo effect and the X1 bundles. I think X1 is set up pretty well for the holiday and MS have their strategy ready to go. Mark my words we will see a $300 X1 this holiday with the Lego game bundles and Gears bundle. Fallout bundle for $350 and we might even see the Halo LE bundle down to $400.

Halo will just sell consoles, huge amounts of consoles. People are very quick to call these bundles failures before they release. Nobody really preorders bundles unless they are LE bundles like the PS4 Blops, Star Wars and TTK bundles. The bundles with just an extra game wont really have an effect until release.

I really have no idea how the holidays will go but my money is on the X1 just because of Halo and MS aggressive black friday deals.

You are contradicting yourself and proving my point by saying the bundles will get price cuts, which means the price will be the selling factor and not the games themselves or Halo.Black Friday is irrelevant when the COD bundle and the BF bundle will sell at regular price all month and I am sure they will have sales as well on BF as usual. The original Destiny bundle was pre-ordered early along with the standard Batman bundle btw.

^^ Sony have the regular bundles as well for CoD and Battlefront though, that I think will be popular at the time too.

But I agree with MS winning the holidays. I think if MS catch wind at any time during November that they are losing, they will instantly cut, cut and cut. Winning the holiday NPDs is the only way MS get good coverage in terms of sales. It also convinces a lot of people that MS cut the gap worldwide, there were British publications saying that the X1 had won the holidays entirely

That's not winning anything if you have to keep cutting the price which once again proves my point about the bundles not having value if consumers will only buy them at a cheaper price.Notice both of you have to change the current prices in order for your predictions to have weight.

Well if bold happens, it will probably happen because the Halo effect is not at the same level of what a "Halo effect" is usually.

Exactly which is my point lol.If the Halo effect was so strong  that would be the only bundle needed.

Some guy on gaf says X1 is outselling PS4 3 or 4:1 at his store. He is bish checked. Could be signifcant, might not be, can't say I have heard of the store before.

Nothing's changed much. Something needs to give because right now I'd say the PS4 takes it.

I'm not contradicting myself. Black Friday is a month after Halo 5. Halo 5 will push a lot of consoles before BF. The Halo Bundle is priced to make room for a price cut on purpose for a second major boost on BF. In fact all their bundles are overpriced to increase the perception on value when they inevitable cut they price.

MS know exactly what they want to achieve, they just don't always pull it off.

You are saying the cheap price will sell the console, which has nothing to do with Halo or bundles at all which is the contradiction.
