I made this thread in August of last year.

If you're too lazy to click the link, basically it states that I was tired of people hating on the 8th gen of consoles for only being out a year (or two in the case of Wii U) and should be patient and wait for 2015. 

2015 is the year. I guess I turned out to be right. I made the comparison that in the previous 7th gen, 2007 was the year. The timelines just fit perfectly. And so far 2015 has been a WONDERFUL year of 8th gen gaming already so far with games like Bloodborne, Witcher 3, MGS5, Splatoon, and more. 

Not to mention the games that have yet to come out like Super Mario Maker, Fallout 4, Star Wars, Halo 5, Forza, Tomb Raider, wow I could go on for a while.

It truely makes me happy that I was correct in this prediction. However, it fills me with even more joy that the 8th gen has offically taken off. There is literally a game of all genres and types for anybody and so much fun to be had. Even the Wii U that is stuggling (sales wise) has some awesome new releases. I really think 8th gen could eventually surpass the 7th gen in time (in terms of sales and game selection). 

Only time will tell.

True. I am very overwhelmed with so many games and so little time to play and I havent got MGS5 yet.

I agree, every time next gen console come out, we get very few games at launch, then 2 years later we've finally got many awesome games & even better price. It's always like that.

As you can see, i bought Xbox One last month due to updates & games.

The good stuff is coming but it's still fairly lackluster. The ability to play my old Xbox 360 games is what got my blood flowing most this gen.

I'll leave it at that.

It will be next year like were getting Zelda UC4 scalebound and a shit ton of more games.

Think 2016 is looking better, especially for new IPs.

I actually think you are wrong. 2015 was way worst than people were saying.

A lot of big titles were delayed: Uncharted 4, FF XV (some people actually believed it would come out in 2015 when the gen started), Zelda U. MGS is crossgen and The witcher is on PC (and it fits better there). Batman launch was overwhelmed by problems in PC. Mortal Kombat X and Evolve didn´t impressed that much to be honest

Bloodborne, Splatoon and Mario Maker are the only stars of this gen (in 2015) so far (i give you batman too), i have my fingers crossed for Halo 5 and Rise of the tomb Raider (another cross gen/PC), but even with that i wouldn't be celebrating.

Not yet. Still a mediocre year, not much different from last one. 2016 looks better for now

Instead of *TOLD YOU SO* you could have used *EAT CROW PEOPLE*. It has a lot more impact.
