Forums - Gaming Discussion - Most divisive video game among fans?

Thats what the tiny minority, that enjoys the game, wants to believe because they don't want to think they have bad taste. I like FFXIII and have played it twice, with 80+ hours on the steam version. But im not going to lie, among the Final Fantasy games, XIII is by far the weakest entry. The game is the Britney Spears of video games, a prime example of Spectacle over Substance.

There is nothing divisible about FFXIII. The truth is simply out there.

Yet more than a third of the buyers completed the game ...

That's a higher portion than quite a few games out there that are deemed execellent by critics ...

I didn't said it was a bad game. I said is the weakest Final Fantasy.

By far.

It's because the internet sucks and is just filled with people desperate to complain about everything because they can't see from different points of view and accept different opinions.

That's why Zelda is divisive. They'll look at Skyward Sword and be like "oh my god, it's linear and has no interesting overworld, IT SUCKS." or looking at Twilight Princess they'll say "it's Ocarina of Time remastered, where's the originality? THIS SUCKS.".

It's just how the internet is. Personally, I always try to look at the positive side of things, so I'll always be far more enthralled by what a game does right than I would be bothered by its flaws. That doesn't mean I'll love terrible games and stuff, but I can understand what each different Zelda game brings to the table, accept them for what they are, and recognize how excellent most of them are.

If we take a look at sales, the criticism against Skyward Sword is somewhat justified ...

If we do the same for twilight princess, it's pretty clear that only the minority had a bone to pick with the game ...

I too agree that the internet sucks ...

I thought FFXII was the weakest entry because of it's borefest inducing combat system and pointlessly big and over designed world ...

Sales are no means to determine satisfaction, though. Twilight Princess sold a lot better than Skyward Sword because it was a launch title for the Wii, which was an enormous fad at the time, and didn't require the MotionPlus.

Launch titles can flop and while MotionPlus is certainly required, Nintendo managed to get quite a few people adopt it with WII Sports Resort ...

Wait. Which Final Fantasy are we arguing about, again? Because FFXIII combat is pretty automatic (but nice to look at) and the world is pointless.

I would say both XII and XIII are weak in those aspects, as well as the story and characters.

FF XIII. A small loud minority pretends to speak for everybody else who actually enjoyed the game.

If they actually enjoyed, why they didn't continued the series, buying the XIII-2 and lightning returns?

That´s because you didn't played XII like me. I changed between characters like a mad man to try to play with everyone. hahaha

Joke aside, i agree with you.
