Forums - Sony Discussion - Ratchet and Clank PS4 E3 Demo Reportedly In Some Gamestop Stores

Can't believe they delayed this game so it would release with the movie. Its one of the few things I actually want to play.

Is there even any proof for that?

I can confirm it was put in best buy stores last week, at least in cincinnati, ohio. I played it, it looks gorgeous, however the frames were 30fps, not 60 like the series typically has been. Hopefully that changes, it was my only major grip about into the nexus, and from what i understand, that same team is developing this too.

Sad its not in Germany :(

I think they did say that. There should be news article about it somewhere.

I really hope I can catch the game on a Gamestop this year. I really want to see how it plays.

Insomniac said they would stop making 60fps games after they found out that most people care more about graphics than framerate. I don't know if that is still the case for them.

I haven't entered a Gamestop in months. Next time I go to Wingstop, I'll stop by next door to see if they have it.

Edit: That isn't to say it didn't bomb on launch. It performed pretty poorly for awhile, but just took some time to pick up. Overall, I'd think Sanzaru were satisfied with the sales and would be willing to make a new Sly game in the future.

It performed bad at launch, that's a sequel killer to any franchise. Of course Sansaru will be willing to make another one, but I don't know if Sony is willing to pay for it.

I wouldn't say it bombed considering it basically came in under the radar with almost zero marketing. There is a Sly movie coming out next year so I wouldn't be surprised if something happens, but that's purely speculative on my part. Sly 4 was the best in the series I think. In addition, the fact that Sony specifically requested Sanzaru put in a cliffhanger ending makes me feel like they'll return at some point.

Glad you adressed that, it performed bad due to bad marketing but it performed bad nonetheless.  I know that there's the Sly movie coming (dunno if next year since R&C was delayed), but I don't think a game for that movie is in development for two reasons:

- If they make a video game, it has to be a reboot of the franchise since it would be based on the movie.

- If they make a reboot game, that would be a middle finger to old fans of the franchise since Sly 4 (as you said) ended with a cliffhanger.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Sly games, Sly 4 was a blast, but I'm trying to be realistic.

wow, that seriously just made my stomach churn. As much as i like the series it was really annoying going through the last game. Hurts to think i might actually pass on this game.

how did this fall under my radar. mind blown!!!!
