There no need for name calling like in previous post but remember this guys:

1. This is a Microsoft discussion threads.
2. Not everything needs to be Sony vs. Microsoft
3. Like it or not Microsoft is doing great at pleasing their fan base and making people at least consider buying an Xbox one.

As an Xbox One owner, I love this article and would love for more people to join the Xbox one community, Microsoft not only delivered with a very strong 2015 holiday lineup, but also has build a great forecast for 2016. 2016 seem like there wont be any drought in exclusive for the console. Microsoft was highly criticized (rightfully so) for their poor amount of exclusive in Q1-2 2015.

This speaks more about you and the people agreeing with you than it does about the article. The article is poorly written there's hardly any 2 ways about it, I honestly find it pretty insulting that you try to make it seem as if people calling this out are only doing it for reasons of console preference.

I think what he's trying to say is that even if the article is writen like an add it doesn't mean people should focus on that and only that. That articles talks about Xbox positives for this year and next and it's great to have these articles around especialy in the Xbox threads section. You should know when to stop and just let those who appreciate it appreciate it.

I get what you are saying, but this article is for people who do not have an X1 right now like me and not people who already have one like you.So this article obviously fails to entice none X1 owners.Speaking as a none X1 owner I am not enticed one bit.

Around the Network

"But the bigger hit could be the exclusive-to-console-for-a-year Rise of the Tomb Raider, bringing back that classic video game adventure and exploration"

Or rather continuing the modern trend of corridor level design, QTE and extreme handholding.

How does it fail really? Because it's poorly writen? So the info in there doesn't seem great to you it's ok but doesn't it make you aware of what's available and what's to come? Maybe it's just me but I don't find it so bad that I need to dismiss everything on it...

I just re-read the article to give you the benefit of the doubt. But, come one the article talks about all the change that Microsoft has done to get to where they are now. Their Effort has given the best holiday lineup in 2015 and they made so much progress to change the image of the Xbox one. If anything now is the best time to buy an Xbox One. There is no bashing of any other consoles or platform, the article focus entire on the Xbox One. The article is not poorly written, it's very well written but with a total possitive bias toward Microsoft consoles by a writer that's obviously pationate about the Xbox One. I see more the article has an invitation to join the Xbox One community. Xbox One is a great consoles, probably the best offering from Microsoft and it's only getting better. I find pretty insulting your bashing of the Xbox One related article just because it's showing the Xbox one a little love.

Again, I've said this several times already, I am not bashing this article because it is "showing the Xbox a little love" (which btw stop portraying Xbox as the poor little victim here, the times of all Xbox press being negative press is long over, even if the idiots on r/xboxone love to still play that tune). And stop with the whole "there's no bashing of other platforms in there", that doesn't make the article less shit.

Do you not see how this article is telling people to buy an Xbox One now based on these things:

Halo 5, Forza 6, RoTR, QB, Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, Cuphead, the next season of KI, Recore, Gears 4, Crackdown 3, Halo Wars 2, Backwards Compatibility, Ark Survival on Xbox Preview, playing Fifa early (which he doesn't mention you need EA Access for btw), Windows 10 and Crossplay.

Now let's mark the stuff on this list that's actually out on X1 and could thus have fully been tested by the author

Halo 5, Forza 6, RoTR, QB, Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, Cuphead, the next season of KI, Recore, Gears 4, Crackdown 3, Halo Wars 2, Backwards Compatibility, Ark Survival on Xbox Preview, playing Fifa early (which he doesn't mention you need EA Access for btw), Windows 10 and Crossplay.

And that right there is my big problem here, have we not had enough of journalists mindlessly hyping stuff and trying to sell us on stuff without having fully tested it (hey guys Destiny/Watch Dogs will be the best thing since sliced bread better buy it as soon as it comes out...oh wait), I mean companies have marketing departments for that shit, I don't need some journalist that is supposed to be impartial here to do that job for them. I mean FFS that dude is literally telling people that they should not wait to play the new Tomb Raider but that they have to get it as soon as they can (because we haven't been burned by that attitude recently, right?).

Around the Network

Article begins with "get off the fence" so it's obviously aimed for those planning to buy xbox one and then he proceeds to inform them for upcoming features and games. If you're a fan of tomb raider, want to play it no matter what and you're on the fence of buying xbox then why wait a year?

No need to have so strong feelings towards todays state of journalism over this article, really.

"It’s time to buy into the Microsoft dream." ok this is a definition of cheesy hehe

Why else should people buy a consoles if not for an amazing lineup of exclusive games and features? Microsoft has build an amazing list of exclusives that far surpass my own high expectation and has completely caught me off guard with Backward compability (E3's biggest annoucement IMO) and remote play. The Xbox One has progress so much from where it start in 2013 and Microsoft has really turn the ship around. Everyone should be concidering buying an Xbox One.

People buy systems knowing great games are coming no? Even if they are not out yet it's ok to be excited and buy a console knowing your games are coming on top of the ones already out and features only available on the console.

You are trying too hard, let it go. Btw I would try to edit that post unless you really want to call people from XR idiots.

That paragraph really seals it, you just don't get it.
