This is what happens when one company dominates in a region.

Hard to blame the domination part when the competition is already selling their "get online plus some other goodies"-service for 10€ more.

My point is, what exactly does Sony have to fear? They could make PS Plus $100.00 a year in EU and people would still buy PS4. They could strip the free games away, take blu-ray out... hell... they could probably slap a 100GB HDD in the thing and it would STILL dominate in EU.

Eh, I really think you're painting us a little too blinded here.

I've got ps plus and regularly use discounting to increase my ps credit. Recently £50 credit was available for £40 by paying with paypal. I have a ps4, 2 ps3's, a vita and playstation tv on the account.. I get the monthly games on 3 formats per month, fantastic value. No complaints at all. Also decent regular sales too. My psn subscrption is pre-paid for about 20 months.

My xbox live account which was about £21 I think gets me games per month on 360 and xbox one.

Sometimes I just don't seem motivated to buy any new games at all as there is soo many waiting to be played.

Or ya know... we could be the region where the 1tb version of the PS4 retails at €399 and includes a Playstation TV in the box so you can stream the ps4 to another TV in the house or you can use it to download some of the best Vita games like persona 4 and enjoy them on the big screen. Not to mention being able to enjoy the bonus 2 vita games each month from psn+ providing they're pstv compatible.

Sony and Europe are bros, don't think 1euro added to the 3month subs would effect that love very much, it's pretty much in line with inflation since the sub price hasn't gone up since its introduction in 2010.

Yeah that's the thing really... if you have a PS4/PS3 and Vita you get 6 games per month, which is 72 a year over the 3 systems (not including how many actual versions you get considering a lot of the titles are cross buy so you'll get copies of those 72 titles for each system) for the yearly sub price even if it was to go up to €60 a year (still a rumour) it is less than a Euro per game in the IGC. Just in terms of value if you have the 3 systems will break down next months offerings.

  • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (PS4) €19.99 (meta 74%)
  • Limbo (PS4) €8.99 (meta 90%)
  • Sound Shapes (PS4, PS3, PSV) €12.99 (meta 84%)
  • Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones (PS4, PS3, PSV) €14.99 (meta 74%)
  • God of War: Ascension (PS3) €19.99 (meta 80%)
  • CastleStorm (PS3, PSV) €9.99 (meta 79%)

That's a total of €86.94 worth of gaming joining the IGC in a single month and rating between 74% - 90% on metacritic I really don't see how you could justify saying this month isn't worth 1/12 of 60euros = €5

I think really if people still want to look at that and knock it based on losing access to the games during a period where your sub runs out (getting them all back when you resub) or that some of them might hold the "indie" title (My Vita is ready for Sound Shapes) then there is really no getting accross the value that psn+ gives to actual playstation gamers who are just keen to game.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful. I'm just saying that EU has put Sony in a position where they don't really have to compete.
