In wonderful news, Chip Kelly a.k.a. The Genius a.k.a. Chip Da God a.k.a. La Bleu Fromage will be blessing us all with his greatness once again, as he will be the new head coach of the Niners. Bill Walsh's ghost was interviewed afterwards and said only that he (Walsh) wishes he were alive during these times, as while Walsh would never have been remembered in the blinding light of Kelly's grandeur it would have been nice to record nineteen straight Super Bowls and a complete revolution in how the game of football is played. Historians will undoubtedly point to today's date as when a new era began not just for the NFL, or the sport of football, but for humanity as a whole.

Eddie DeBartolo had no comment.

Interesting site that examines player injuries, the value to the team, total man games lost etc... I'm of a mind to conclude that the AFC East was a steaming pile of shit this year, given the volume of players who missed games this year for the Patriots.

The AFC East played against the AFC South and NFC East this year, so if you consider both of them awful divisions, it's pretty obvious that the records of AFC East teams were boosted by an easy schedule, making the division look a lot stronger than it actually was.

Oh I wasn't gauging by their competition, I was gauging by their on-paper roster(I guess that's where looks can be deceiving).  Jets/Dolphins/Bills were all looking good (except at QB) going into this year.  It's why many folks thought you'd see at least a bit more competition in the AFC East (though, I strongly disagree with anyone who suggested the Pats would have competition for the Division).

Seriously though, 245 total man games lost by the Pats this year...incredible that the wheels only started coming off in the last 3-4 games, really.

Welp, since this hasn't been posted here yet...

I've only received Rol's pick so far. Just a reminder!

The Patriots are playing dirty, want to send some Chiefs to the hospital.

The Amendola hit was definitely a cheap shot, but so was the hit on Brady on the ensuing drive. Things have only been mildly testy, and hopefully it stays that way in the second half.

Forum is running like shit tonight.

Lets all just hope that it runs okay, and that I make it through to the next round.
