they don't have a show/presentation at Gamescom, just on the floor with games to play.

They do their conference a week later at Paris game show. Some game anouncements and bundles for $400-.

Sony had nothing for 2015 so they spilled the beans on their 2016-2017 schedule at E3. Microsoft is the only one with anything to show at Gamescom. Scalebound and Quantum Break gameplay here we come!

they showed God of war 3 and Uncharted collectiong along Ratchet and Clan for PS4 prior to the E3 confrence. And dont forget Morpheos, they had so many other stuff which ended not in their E3 conference. Sony has more than enough ammo 

And I suppose that Sony is also going to talk about nothing at TGS, PGW and PSX?

we've seen plenty of QB footage, none of Scalebound and Crackdown 3 which will be at the show. 

They announced they will have no press conference at the show, but they will have one at Paris gaming week.

If you ask me, it was a bad idea. Gamescom is a bigger show and they just gave MS a free pass to the most popular european games show.
I guess we will see if people will pay atention to the Paris games week or if everyone will just ignore it. Since they had an amazing E3 i think people might tune in for it, but it still isnt good to have left Gamescom without a conference.

With that said, there is a chance blizzard announces their new WoW expansion there and that will certainly steal some thunder from the other stuff. Genious? Lucky? Bad move? We will find out.
