The Wii U is not even as powerful as the PS3 and was freaking expensive for it's specs partly due to the controller but still. For 250$ charging 100$ for the tablet Nintendo made a system which has yet to beat Uncharted 2. So for 250$ for the NX probably and Nintendo wanting a profit this machine will leave the specs very close to Xone. 

 

Btw the Xone is way more powerful than the Wii U, it has a better gpu, more ram, a way better gpu and it's easy to make games for thus better optimisable, the Witcher 3 couldn't probably run on low 720p 30fps on Wii U.

Actually, the Wii U is quite a bit more powerful than the 7th gen consoles. Its just that it has a strange architecture, thus making it hard to optimize games. Also TW3 would probably have to run at 540p and quite a bit lower than the lowest settings in order to be playable.

In what amount of time. First year? In that case, good luck. Maybe it'll "ship" 20 million in 5 years. If they try going casual again, they will fail.

I think it was first year. No way it's happening unless it's like $150 or something.

Why? it worked for the Wii.

The reason it didnt work for the Wii U.... because of the gamepad, its too expensive.

It will work again, and its not the end of the world.

 

Nintendo just need to not be greedy with prices, or dumb with hardware designs... or conceptual ideas (gamepad).

The fusion idea is fantastic, and it ll make their next console a hit (NX will have a much stronger games library than the Wii U).

Do you think they can catch lightning in a bottle twice? The reason Wii sold is because of casuals. Casuals aren't here anymore, they're on iPhones, iPads and Facebook.

So, sure... if Nintendo can pull that off again, it won't matter. I just don't think they're going to be able to pull it off.
