never

That sounds about right, give or take a few days

Quote --->  about X360, MS made a BIG anti-piracy system, it is called 3RLs, or RRoD. I know a bunch of ppl afraid to open a X360 and void warrant because they will need it...

I'm bettin on Playstation 6 or PS7, but who knows, they could just keep making them until the end of time like Nintendo seems to be doing.

M$ will probably stop after the 1080 (the one after 720) unless M$ sells its consoles better.

Nintendo will stop making them when they have 2 or 3 straight Gamecube type sales consoles. Who knows when this may be. Or they may go out on top after the Wii 2!! lol j/k

I'm back...

There is a limit to how much can be done on a TV screen, I expect that we will see 1 or 2 more home console gens that each bring new control schemes and better graphics, after that I expect that the market will change and the idea of a console will also be much different then what we have now. So we have at least another 12 years of console gaming as we know it ahead of us. After that and the game has to change!

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I think Nintendo will be around a LONG while, and Sony will also be around for a while. Microsoft, will be gone in 10~20 years i think.. concerning its console making.
Sony and Nintendo have quite a reputation, and that will help them last. In a couple of years, the ps3 won't always get the bad rap like it is now, (among the general population) IMO, so Sony will probably be viewed more favorably than it is now.

Nintendo.... Never
Sony........... In 15 years more
Microsoft..... In 5 years

nintendo will make consoles forever, even if they are shitty.

i expect ms to pull out and sony to last a lil bit longa

Nintendo: They made profit off the Gamecube. So unless we have another depression, then never.

A lot of fanboys are going to say that this is Microsoft's or Sony's last console. I tend to lean slightly toward the Sony side, because of their bad press, but MS and Sony have both had collossally bad press this gen. I'm not calling that one.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

We are rapidly approaching a time when further enhancements to graphics, AI and Physics are unnoticeable and/or to expensive to pursue ...

This (of course) doesn't mean that companies will not release new hardware, but it does mean that the focus of new hardware will (likely) change; and you could argue that the Wii represents the begining of this. As an example, we are probably going to see someone revist the virtual boy when high-definition LCD screens are light enough and inexpensive enough.

i dunno i think microsoft will be the first one to leave because they have the smallest fanbase. then sony will leave, but nintendo probably never

Nintendo will last at least another century but prob. more - enough said

Sony - maybe another 15 years cause id think Sony could handle a decline in console sales (like Ninty did) and still make a profit

MS - 10 years - the appeal is not there (brand name EXCEPT for Halo)

but I can't imagine a world without Ninty. Hope I never see that day. lol
