Wow it´s really disgusting how some of you people think

We can do without the personal attacks while debating, thanks.

You gave two options:

"Option 1. Society pays for the room and board of killers, raptists and molesters for life. Sometimes we release them and they do it again.

Option 2. We execute them and bury them in unmarked mass graves then plant a rose garden on them. They stop being a burden to society."

You want to badmouth the first option with the way you describe it and the second one suggests throwing people in unmarked mass graves. How is this not a disgusting way of thinking? You can´t just say insane things like that and expect people to just be fine with it

>Death sentence: Life ends quickly, but you get a last meal before that.
>Life sentence: Live meh life in shit prison, rape/be raped, small chance of escape, there's bound to be some sort of entertainment in cell, so it's not that bad i guess. You might as well be living in a gangster neighbourhood (only with a lot of police/guards)

In conclusion: Instead of instantly killing them or letting them live their lives in prison (which sometimes ends up being better than life before) just let them be tortured everyday for the rest of their lives in a cell and let them rot - just so that there's a message being sent to the more "sane" potential murderers.

Fuck, i think i just cut myself on my edges.

Now look at the wrongful conviction rate, and imagine yourself being tortured daily while innocent. Still sounds good?
What about the life of the torturer, seems like a sane job to torture people?

Wait a minute, FBI hires hackers to test security, prisons should employ sadists to torture serial killars. Brilliant.

Btw Gitmo costs 2.8 million per year per prisoner. But they do get tortured and rot in their cells.

The death penalty is pretty expensive too
http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/costs-death-penalty
Each death penalty case in Texas costs taxpayers about $2.3 million. That is about three times the cost of imprisoning someone in a single cell at the highest security level for 40 years.

Make prisons self sustaining, let the inmates work for their food and small comforts. And if it turns out to be better than your own shitty life, then why not let people in without having to commit a crime first. If it generates money instead of costing it, sign your freedom away and join prison life.

You waste a lot of money keeping trash alive, like trash these people need to be removed in order for non trash to take their place. Keep your moody feely emotions at the door.

You do not need to waste money on trash while stepping on flowers. More decent people deserve the money you waste on those people and a bullet to the head is not as expensive as all the liberals make it out to be.

Fuck, that's right, i keep fogetting bold when i think and discuss stuff like this.

I still don't get how the death penalty is this expensive. Just get a knife and go full isis on them - alahu akber and all. Re-use knife to cut costs. End in oven.

This tbh: "FBI hires hackers to test security, prisons should employ sadists to torture serial killars. Brilliant."

Why can't you just state that you disagree with me without the personal jabs? You forget quickly about civility when you disagree with someone.

It's so expensive since the justice system isn't fool proof. Apart from the higher initial cost, you can sit on death row for over 20 years while the appeals process drags on. The actual injection is only $100 or so.

DNA has proven 330 people wrongfully convicted so far, 20 of which on death row.
Since DNA evidence can only be used in 5% to 10% of cases, logic dictates that there are at least another 3300 to 6600 innocent people in jail without the chance of DNA clearing them, and possibly another 200 to 400 wrongful death penalties.
http://www.innocenceproject.org/free-innocent/improve-the-law/fact-sheets/dna-exonerations-nationwide
http://www.innocenceproject.org/faqs/how-many-innocent-people-are-there-in-prison

It's much worse actually. Estimates are between 2.3% and 5% wrongful convictions, that's anywhere up to 120 thousand innocent people in jail in the US right now... Or 1 in 2700 people in the US are wrongfully convicted.

Even one single innocent killed is more than enough reason to not have death sentences.

Again, what personal jabs? Wanting to throw people in unmarked mass graves is disgusting and insane period. If this offends you then your moral compass is absolutely broken

I'm strongly against it. If living is just a privilege, then what's the point of having rights?

Are rights the argument here? You lost those certain rights, if you confessed to murder.

Well death penalty work very well in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Khilafah Country when it was still establish (Ottoma Empire, etc). Thanks to demo crazy ( democratic ideology) and human rights, we have a lot of new psychopath and new type of crimes in this 21st century.
