It all depends on personal preference. Both platforms ( PC & Consoles ) have their advantages and disadvantages. Neither is a "master race" because neither is better than the other. Therefore we can all live in peace ounce and for all .

Except PC is superior hardware wise.

Of course , but then consoles are better convenience wise .

I tried PC gaming. Built my own Gaming PC in early 2013. GTX 680, i7, and 8gb of ram. I probably have a handful of games for it. Waste of an investment on my part. Took me buying a pretty powerful PC at the time to realize that I just absolutely prefer playing on consoles and have been doing so for 20 years. I guess I turned in my Master Race card for the peasantry of the console plebs, but I would not have it any other way. I still use my Gaming PC, though, as it is my one and only computer.

While the "PC Master Race" saying is ridiculous and caused many childish arguments over the years, I think that disregarding the advantages of PC gaming completely is close-minded.

I'll take myself as an example (because I'm awesome). I tend to favor console exclusives when choosing what I wanna play, those are the games I buy at launch but there's still loads of 3rd party games that I'm interested in. By the time I'm ready to play those games, they've been out for 3-4 months sometimes even more and I can get them for dirt cheap on Steam.

If I limited myself to only consoles, I'd probably just skip playing those games or at least I'd be paying a whole lot more for them. The console-PC combo boosts my gaming potential greatly.

Signature goes here!

Screw pc master race, I think that meme started out as a joke anyway. I'm not into pc gaming because of the graphics, though they are nice. I just love it due to the selection.

PC Master Race was a trend created by people to piss off console users because let's face it; they get riled up easily. In terms of possible specs; it is the most technologically advanced place to play, for a cheaper price, if you can be bothered to build and maintain your own rig; so if you take that out of the question than yes PC is the master race in terms of specs.. "The best place to play" depends on the individual's preference in games, but objectively in terms of specs, PC is the "Master Race."
But then you have devs like Rocksteady taking massive shits and calling them "ports" so idk depends on your viewpoint.

The trend was created because PC gamers didn't realise that the term was used to make fun of them.

I like PC gaming. I'm not hardcore about it or anything, but It is a great compliment to my Wii U. And with what was announced at E3 I'm getting most of the best of Sony and MS with it. Master Race? I am not a big fan of the term. But its hard to argue with what is available on the platform and the price of the games.

My father PC is  superior to PS4 with Pentium 4 MMX and Nvidia Gforce 4 LOl

Only because game makers are building on console hardware first and porting to PC.

Meaning they are deliberately limiting their game's capability. I think the bigger issue is this change could result in slower progress in hardware.

Gaming is one of the reasons GPUs enhanced so quickly. If gaming remains stagnant based on the console generations, then I could see a lack of interest in pushing new GPU technology.

Aye, it's hilariously funny until their version of the game starts getting gimped.  I keep pointing out to people, how do you think this gen would look if Nintendo were in the lead?

when you wait. either for a pc port and/or the enhancement made by mods. don't expect 3rd party devs to put effort in an optimal high end pc port on release though. especially not for 60$ or less.

Mod enhanements (for games that support them) usually happen the week or two of release. Look at FFXIII and Dark Souls. I have no problem waiting a week to play a game. Heck, half my PS3 games didn't work to my standards without patches and I'm sure it is more true for PS4/XBO games. So it's not like consoles avoid this issue either. I really don't care about enhanced ports. The thing about PC's is that you can enhance the port yourself, right out of the box. Developers add an easy feature called scaling the performance and visuals to your platform.

ps3 was pretty complicated to develop for and not very popular so it's no wonder games had performance issues in the beginning of it's lifecycle. but as time moved on devs learned how to deal with the hardware and issues declined. with the ps4 this trend should even happen faster due to it's common architecture and popularity. but for high end 4k rigs, which some people might be tempted to upgrade in the near future, i predict the trend of crappy ports is only getting worse.
