Forums - Politics Discussion - Donald Trump is running for President... yes of the USA

People who mock America for this need to look into the mirror. Random outlandish people run in politics for all countries, and they usually have no shot. Trump is one of those people, he has not shot.

Not exactly fair, because America did have Sarah Palin as candidate for VP. He could very well be in the top 5 republican nominations.

well i dont think its so clear, he is maybe a retard, and an idiot, and stupid, but he is an outsider, he doesnt care about getting in bed with the teaparty or other far right lunatics, and he has money and know who to ask for more. if fox is on his side everything is possible at the primarys.

there is no good candidate in his party, thats why he has a chance...

Actually no, if you've been paying attention to the last 3 Presidential Elections, you'll understand that the GoP's main demographic, white people, is on the decline in the US, and that catering to just that audience is exactly how Obama won both terms.  Trump would need to cater to the center and center left to win the election, and the problem is allot of people in the center/center left, think Trump's absolutely bat-shit crazy (true).

While Fox (and other news agencies) are more than capable of doing their thing, the constituency they represent is a smaller and smaller portion of the overall voting public.  And that's actually bad for the GoP.  While I think most of their candidates are lunatics, I'm not a fan of deciding a President between two choices, where one's certifiably insane.

gucci is not even an american company....

I don't really care for Donald Trump but the U.S. Needs a business man in office to clean up the mess that has been created over the past three decades. Having career politicians and lawyers run the country has put us in a horrible position. The national debt is astronomical, annual budget deficit is a joke, and the health care system is a debacle. Passing laws that are supposed to help the public but disregard the future consequences needs to end. The middle class is being destroyed and all the government wants to do is continue to hand out free money that we do not have. It's time to stop putting band-aids on the symptoms and fix the real problem...the dysfunctional Government.

I can see it now. Oprah will be vice president and at his Inagural Address they'll run up to each camera....

...and unemployment goes up 1000%.

Oh my god. Much else to say.

Upon seeing the thread title, I laughed real hard...

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

People automatically dismiss him as a joke, but maybe what we need right now IS a businessman. We're in debt so far we've reached the "whatever, we're screwed anyway anyway" mindset. 16 years of Obama and Bush being completely incompetent has left or country a wreck. We need another Bill Clinton.

Clinton turned a massive deficit into a surplus. So not three decades, just 16 years of nonstop incompetence.

People really need to stop thinking that a change in President's somehow fixes all the US' problems.  The President is only as powerful as their majority in the House and Senate, and only if their policies falls in line with the ideals of those allies, in the House and Senate.  The Republican's produced an extremely successful blueprint on how to stop any of the President's agenda to go through.  Anyone thinking the Democrats aren't ready to follow suit, are fooling themselves.
