Ya Affleck was a fantastic Batman/Bruce Wayne. Arguably the best, but since he's sharing the movie I'll wait until his solo debut to go that far. Certainly he belongs in the conversation however.
I haven't seen Daredevil, superhero movies are not my thing. I am skeptical about Affleck because he hasn't been impressive in any movie I've seen. He was decent when he played that ex-actor, can't remember the name of it.. But I am more than willing to give him a chance now 😊
Well you should not watch the Daredevil movie but the series on netflix that one is awesome.

People had the same negative reaction when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker and look how that turned out, If the Batman solo movie fails then it won't be Affleck's fault it would be the Directors/Writers. DC starting a cnematic franchise with 3 failed movies(in terms of reception) is not a good thing.
Suicide Squad does look like a Marvel Movie in terms overall feel, and the latest trailer was really good.

I had that type of vibe. DC movies seem really dark while Marvel movies feel a bit lighter.

Affleck's actually not a terrible actor, but don't watch Daredevil, otherwise you may get the impression that that's his ceiling for acting. He is, however, a douche as a person.
