Back in 2015 Microsoft wanted to get Bungie back. I think they are goign to buy them and split them into 3 teams.
Destiny 3 team
New IP team
Halo team to work with 343i.

It is interesting that those 3 statements by Shinobi (famed leaker at the time), Darren (Lasky voice actor), and Frank (Halo Franchise Manager) were posted within 72 hours of each other, with all 3 being deleted soon afterward, but I am doubtful that it is actually MS buying Bungie. Giventhe timing of those statements, it sounds to me like a small team at Bungie has secretly been assisting on Halo Infinite development since development began in 2015.

Bungie struggles with one game at 800+ employees, seriously doubt they're doing three at once, Bungie is well know for being a mess when it comes to development of their games, Halo 2 and 3 are well known for having a shitty development, along with Destiny. Frankly Bungie helping out on Halo doesn't inspire me with much confidence either considering a lot of the veterans have left Bungie so I hope that's not true.

Buying Bungie would cost way more than all their purchases so far, It'd probably cost more than the majority of them combined and goes completely against what Microsoft has been focusing on which is AA-Bordering on AAA developers which they can build up, none of the purchases so far have even passed 200 employees, cost of Bungie alone could be used on 3-4 good quality studios that can be built up.

Agreed, MS shouldnt buy Bungie. For that price, they could buy Bluepoint, IO, and Skybox Labs, and still have spare change remaining.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Wow how did I miss that The Stanley Parable is coming to Xbox One this year?
Always wanted to play that. I assume the achievements will be quite crazy.

MS should acquire WayForward and make Shantae Xbox's mascot.

Because you play to many games and hoard achievements?

Exactly. Microsoft would be spending tons of money on a studio that clearly doesn't really want to be under anyone's command and in which many of the people who really made Bungie what it was during its Halo days are not there anymore. The money would be far better spent on acquiring a number of smaller studios and building them up over time. The best time to buy Bungie would be in the event that its back is to the wall, is forced to downsize, and then sell. 800+ is just too many mouths to feed for a studio that isn't what it used to be.

I want Microsoft to acquire Hazelight, mostly because it would be funny to see Microsoft trying to control Josef They're good developers too. Instead of Bungie we could probably get Hazelight, Moon Studios, Armature, Bluepoint and Turtle Rock combined for the same cost. (I'm only throwing in Bluepoint because I honestly don't have a clue who the Sony studio is but I imagine it's someone around the size of Bluepoint)

Oops, I forgot IO Interactive was rumoured too, wasn't it? So many rumoured studios...

For sure they will be crazy. Most likely an achievement for each ending if I had to guess. There were 18 endings in the original release with more endings being added for the re-release, and 1 of the original endings had you pushing a button every few seconds for four hours straight to unlock it. Will almost certainly be a hard game to get 1000 GS on.

Thread is getting pretty slow again.
So what are you guys playing at the moment?

I currently do a few boosting sessions for Titanfall.
Played some Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (it's just as I remembered on 360, well the base version that is)
Finished Batman Arkham City (on X1) a few days ago. Now I should finally have the motivation to continue Arkham Knight.
Also played a good chunk of Azkend 2 and I was really surprised by this one. Very good puzzle game. Not unlike many others you can find on mobile devices but pretty challenging and still fair at the same time. Reminds me of one of the older PopCap titles. Might still be on sale, so get it.
