I think Ready at Dawn will only be good choice if MS plans to do a VR Headset alongside scarlet. This is because, Ready at Dawn's last game, was an Oculus Rift game called Lone Echo, which earned critical acclaim. They could be MS's premier VR studio if MS ever makes a headset.

Bluepoint is most likely but I would have actually liked Ready at Dawn even if the Order was a meh game.

Shinobi just hinted that Ready at Dawn is not on the table, I really hope that it's Bluepoint now.

I think picking up Bluepoint would be worthwhile. We've seen the success of games like; the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy and Shadow of the Colossus. Bluepoint could do the same for games Like a Banjo and Kazooie collection, Perfect Dark, and whatever else.

If MechWarrior 5 is a success, I could see MS acquiring Piranha and releasing future Mech series games as Windows/Xbox exclusives.

They should, Microsoft owns the Mech IPs but licensed it out to Piranha, no Switch/Playstation release allowed which makes me want to ask the question, should I include MechWarrior 5 on the Microsoft Prediction League for 2019?

On the topic of purchases, Piranha and Bluepoint would be good purchases Imo, Bluepoint like you said is in Texas and there's been rumours of a Texas studio, It'd be cool if they did original IP alongside remakes. Piranha is also located in Vancouver right next to The Coalition, and there was also rumours of a Vancouver studio a few months back. So I'm going to predict that Piranha and Bluepoint will be the next two purchases.

We know it's not Insomniac, Shinobi confirmed it's not Ready at Dawn and I can't see Microsoft buying Quantic Dreams with their ongoing legal issues.

This comes to GamePass today IIRC. Looks really nice.

Would really like to see MS opening a big studio in Japan. Not that important for me but that would show they take this gaming culture serious. Not only a good sign for people who love japanese games but also to show other japanese studios that MS cares about what is produced there.

MS is a little bit too much focused on everything USA/UK...

They can't really buy a studio there but they could have build one already long ago.

No, this won't happen anytime soon. It is irrational to spend money on establishing studio in the market where you sell 100 consoles per week and have almost zero third-party support. It just won't make any sense. Probably it could have happened in the early Xbox days, but their new leadership doesn't like to risk with such huge investments.

My gaming consoles:

Xbox One X 1TB | Nintendo Switch | New Nintendo 3DS | PS4 Slim 500 GB | PS Vita | Nintendo Wii | SNES Mini | Sega Mega Drive 2

2018 HW sales prediction:

PS4 - 97m -- Xbox One - 45m -- Switch - 25m
