Halo will squash it like a bug. It's not even a maybe it's a FACT. Bloodborne has probably will also end up above Splatoon, in terns of sales.
Not sure what the comparison would be to the other companies. Nintendo is in a different position because they only put out a fraction of what the other game companies do, thus forcing each release to seeming more 'major' in comparison. I would compare the importance of this to the overall lineup of the system to something like 'Ori and the Blind Forest,' except that Ori and the Blind Forest isn't 25% of all First Party releases for the year.
The comparison is hard to make. But if you take something that is clearly major to one of the other systems, it would be a fair-ish comparison because this game is clearly major to the Wii U. I just don't know how that will play out. I know Sony fans thought the Order was going to clean up and it didn't, so who knows. Maybe it will outsell that kind of game? But 'nobody really wanted any of anybody's games' isn't a clear point of victory to crow over. I don't know enough about what's coming out on all the systems this year.
What counts as major exclusives from Sony and MS this year? MS has Halo, which is out of the question (Splatoon won't beat it), and Forza Motorsport, which it could beat, Sony has had The Order and Bloodborne, Splatoon should at least be able to beat The Order, possibly Bloodborne.
So my answer to your question is yeah, probably.

Haha yeah exactly: it can probably beat Sony but not MS.
Sony, maybe.
Microsoft, no.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

The question is any, not every. I think Splatoon has a shot at outselling Forza, if the franchise continues the decline it has seen for a while.
