Waste of resources by MS if they did do something like this. Silent Hill isn't a big game, so wasting time and resources on a game that won't do much to help Xbox/MS doesn't seem like a good idea imo.

if true it's like the bayonetta deal from nintendo. although i have some interest in the silent hill franchise it's not enough to sell me the system. ms would at least need the suikoden ip as well to get me interested.

Only reason Silent Hills gained popularity was because of Kojima / Del Toro attached to it.

If MS buys the IP without those 2 then its pointless. Also there is no way in hell that this game is 80% done.

Judging by what Toro said in one of his interviews regarding the game, he mentions only sitting down with Kojima and talking about exchanging idea's for the game.

Plus Kojima is busy with MGSV, I honestly think they havn't even started working on it.

That's why I think it's bullshit. Jesus himself could have come down to work on the game and it still wouldn't be worth billions.

If Microsoft was the reason for the P.T. demo take down, that was kinda a jerk move. On the other hand if they do purchase the IP, I would like to see them hand it to Remedy, and see their take on this franchise.

FUCK YEAH! I hope this is true. This is exactly what MS needs to compete and I would LOVE to see this game finally come to life. Would give Sony a swift kick in the ass that they need too. Not sure if at all it would affect Nintendo. Bu t yeah great news if true. I was sad as hell when they canceled the game. Tho on the bright side simply having PT now increases the value of my ps4. My Xb1 needs games tho and this game would be amazing. Just no kinect BS plz.
