Sounds like OP failed to git gud.

He just stated his opinion. He didn't fail.

On the other hand, your comment is a failure.

an opinion based based on 20 minutes and he jumps to "they are terrible games" instead of "I just don't feel anything from the games and even if I spent very little time, I don't see a reason to continue"

that's a super fail, not worth discussing really

At least he played. And he gave 20 minutes. That's still his opinion.

I don't think I have to explain to you how opinion and forums work.

I really did enjoy the change of pace when I played my first souls game but I just cant understand why they are so well received. Once I had played my first souls game it just felt like I was doing the same thing over and over with the only sense of reward or accomplishment being manufactured by the supposedly brutal "difficulty". They are not terrible games to me however and the gameplay is definitely up there with the best in terms of that type of combat but I just don't find them great. The atmosphere is BB is excellently crafted though, idk why you'd knock it.

Just smh at people who have turned this into a chance to blast the witcher.

I cant agree they are terrible, they offer a fresh and new way to experience a fair difficulty where self-reliance is the only way to progress, not many games can claim the same thing. Couple that with deep gameplay where your skill is the ultimate factor deciding if you live and die and you have a game series that is willing to take a huge risk in this otherwise risk-averse industry where developers are so frightened to challenge gamers because they think hand-holding is tantamount to more sales, because you know, people dont like a healthy challenge.

For anyone interested in RPGs btw, Konami is having daily Suikoden stream to measure interest and potentially save the Suikoden series by showing that people still care about it. If enough people join in, discuss it and buy the digital releases they may release the games on Steam, make sequals etc.

So please join in at http://www.twitch.tv/konami 3:30 PM Pacific time every weekday and discuss the series or just discover it if you're curious.

Wow, are you actually defending this?...

Bloodborne is stiff LMAO!!!!!!!!!! Omg, this guy xD the game is fluent and requires speed and precession.

Can't get into dark souls games too much. Going to try again. But demon's and blood......omg! So epic! I can completely see how they would not be for you but....... 20 min trial on bloodborne. I'm sorry but you have seen nothing. Atmosphere= awesome and controls are best and most fluid in bloodborne imo. I used to not get what they were about but after time spent and much frustration I was hooked. To call them terrible is cray cray.

Now, Bloodborne. ... Same knocks: No atmosphere, lame character creation, brown/grey colors, crappy textures, and stiff characters. ...

No atmosphere?  I realize this is a 'subjective' take on the game, but this is just hilariously, pathetically wrong.  Bloodborne has some of the best video game atmosphere I've ever seen.  Ever.  and I've played a lot of games.

The very fact that you list "No atmosphere" as a poor point against the game shows that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, and are reaching for any little thing to latch on to because you didn't like it for whatever reason.  If you don't like it, that's fine, but don't lie about it or spew this utter nonsense.  If you can't handle it or appreciate the change in developer mentality that has you not being hand-held, that's also fine, but don't whine about the game succeeding at being exactly what it was meant to be just because you can't handle that gameplay style.

Well I'm lovin bloodborne. I am not a fan of rpg's, and I hate unfairly difficult games. But I think Bloodborne's fantastic.

I only played BB bc I got a free game rental code from redbox. Played it with my friend, and he loved it, too, yet I've never known him to like RPGs, either. Now I just bought BB, and I think it may be the first rpg I've ever purchased.

It sounds like you're not being careful enough playing bloodborne. Other than the werewolf in the very beginning, I think it took 1-2hrs before I died for the first time. And it was my first time ever playing a From Software game. I just was very careful, bc I knew how brutal the checkpoints were.

Anyways, to each his own, but I feel like u haven't played BB long enough.
