That's just pure bad luck, PS4s aren't known to fail, especially so early in their life. My PS1/2/3 are banged up to hell, make noises like a dying elephant, but they still work.

Well two friends had their PS4 die and I had my PS4 die. PSU or something just died.
Probably the same problem sony has with the PS3 superslim and their broken PSUs.
And some other friends complain about the disk drives being haunted and doing all kinds of nonsense like ejecting disks during online sessions and therefore kicking you out of the game etc.

Mine also died within its first 4 months. (strange noise like a clap and then it was dead.)
Got a new one from sony as replacement but since then its just sitting on my lowboard and not even hooked up to the TV. I kinda moved on lol.
Cant be arsed to sell it because I just paid 263€ for it.
Probably because I also try to interfere as soon as someone praises TLoU. (which still is the most overhyped game I have ever encountered xD)
Next time buy a Nintendo console, those don't break.
"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"
Sounds like a love story. haha. Rest in peace, PS4. May the next one last longer.

Sorry to hear that. :(
@bolded: That is easily fixed with a screwdriver (you only need to take off the glossy cover and turn the hidden screw to the position of most resistance)
The Ps4 isn't usually loud except when you insert a new disc, it might have been manufacture dust in the fan that caused it to overheat or a disfunction of some kind. There is a failure rate on all devices and it always sucks to end up with one of them :/
