As the title suggests, do you think Nintendo should open a "Franchise Revival" ballot, similar to what they did with Smash Bros? That way, they could easily determine which of their classic IP's they could revive based on votes from fans. 

If so, what franchise would you like to see be revived? I personally would like to see the Mother and F-Zero franchises come back!

They shouldn't have to... but since Nintendo on completely ignoring some of its older IPs it'd be great to see F-Zero. Never played a game in the series but the MK8 DLC tracks made me very interested.

Maybe. Personally, I think now is a prime time to revive F-Zero and for the futuristic racer to make a comeback. But a ballot won't necessarily reflect reality. Kickstarter is usually a fair evaluation of desire, though I don't know how comfortable I am with a multibillion dollar company making a Kickstarter, even for a small IP.

Nahh, I like surprises. If I see a pre-done selection, it kinda takes away from the surprise

I think Mother is best left as a relic of the past, something to look back on and something to inspire. I actually want to see F-Zero return, I think that series still needs to go on.

Thinking the same thing, the people on the internet that would vote in these would be the hardcore fans. They'd have to put a pretty high minimum for the amount of votes (say, no franchise will be revived with less than 150k votes) to make sure not only their most core fans want it.

Should Nintendo do what their fans tell them to do? No. Should they revive franchise? Only if they need revival. Mother doesn't need revival. It's like making a sequel to Termi- wait... A sequel to Juras- Damn it! Like a sequel to Back to the Future III! There.

If they see no need to bring back a franchise, there's a reason why.

That would be pretty terrible PR for the fans of the franchises that will inevitably lose.
