As part of an earnings call today, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen announced that Titanfall 2 is not going to be released anytime soon. Responding to an analyst's question, Jorgensen said you shouldn't expect to see Titanfall 2 until EA's fiscal year 2017.

That means Titanfall 2 is due to launch sometime between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017.

yeah expected. since EA said the rotation will be Battlefield, battlefront and then titanfall. we can expect it holiday 2016

Good, Respawn need to take their time making the sequel rather than rushing it out the door like COD.

I do hope they expand more with the multiplayer and really refine it along with more Titan's and customisation options for Pilot/Titan appearances.

Well that seems obvious. Hope there is a campaign this time

this will have a 2.5 dev time, while CoD has a 3 year dev cycle. 

2016 to early 2017 is not that bad of a wait. I'm happy to see them taking their time, to get to know the PS4 more, hopefully create an awesome campaign and release an overall awesome game.

No major surprises here. There's likely very few games now which have been unshown which will be releasing this year; and 2017 is honestly probably more likely for TF2.

Not Team Fortress 2, thinking about it.

I hope that Titanfall 2 will be a good game!

If this means that the game won't be rushed and ends up being very polished, I have no complaints.
