Um, did I say that? Please read my post. I said I wouldn't have used it but I can see why others would have wanted it. 

Welp, that sucks for a game like this

now I can't tell my friends where to paint and where not to paint cuz it's all about where to paint!

I may just have to purchase this game - purely on principle.

It does not make a lot of sense, I am ok if they want to restrict the voice chat to just friends or only to your team mates, but no chat at all seems like a missed opportunity

We *knew* it wasn't going to support it with randoms. The question was friends, which is a bit sillier.

Perhaps this is just Nintendo cutting corners before the new revenue streams open up.

Nintendo is hyper sensitive to voice chat because this game is heavily marketed/aimed towards kids, so this isn't any big surprise. Nintendo doesn't go for voice chat. Heck even things like simply Miiverse posts are heavily moderated due to Nintendo's family first image.

That's what I thought. Guess they don't want friend teams to have the advantage.
Similar reason why there's no Wiimote controls?

And to protect the children as Soundwave suggest.

Team chat should be save?

This should be a standard for MP console games. Make it optional in settings if the rating is E.

Used it is then Nintendo.
