I guess mostly I misread your post subconsciously as "Nintendo wouldn't be in this predicament with the WiiU if they had released a spiritual Mario 64 successor" as opposed to the much more reserved "would have moved more hardware and software" that you actually posted.

I can't argue against that. Who doen't want an epic Mario game of 64 proportions! I do think, though, that Nintendo found themselves behind the 8 ball with the lack of 3rd party support and their own teams' inefficiency at creating large scale affairs on the new HD hardware. Nintendo definitely had to go to HD school during the first part of this generation...but I think all of their studying has paid off. Hopefully the transition into their next console isn't as difficult.

I for one dont. People really seem to be in love with that game but it hasnt really aged well. I dont like the whole hub world thing and going back to levels over and over again get repetitive and it feels like they are forcing unnecessary length. I much prefer the 3d land/world and Galaxies as they feel less repetitive and closer to the 2d Marios while still being their own thing.

I really wanna say Bully scholarship edition. The game was already good on PS2 but the added content that didnt feel tacked on and the GREAT use of motion controls that felt so natural that had i not known the game was a port I would have just assumed it was built with them in mind, hell my own mom saw it and thought the game looked cool and it actually those teach you some stuff....unfortunately for some reason the coding was done crappily and the game crapped out on me on the last chapter and supposedly it was a common problem with the Wii version of the game so i cant even finish it on the system.

So ill just have to go with GOLDENEYE. Sure its Bond of Duty but who cares? I would probably still be playing it if the network wasnt shut down. Thank goodness for the HD versions i guess.
