True, but we can still blame Tantalus for saying "it's the biggest project we've worked on to date" and they've ported COD and Deus X if I'm not mistaken. It'd have to be pretty big.

They should just unveil it already; they are only hurting themselves by keeping it under wraps, as the more they let excitment build, the bigger the backlash will be if it turns out they are overhyping. If they've truly got the goods, they have nothing to lose by letting the cat out of the bag, and in fact they would benefit from not letting anticipation raise expectations too high.

I agree, they should. As of now, they pretty much solidified it as something that needs to be kept under wraps (which is ALWAYS a sure fire way of having everyone think it is something HUGE). DIssappointment is already assured. We might as well get on the hype train.

It's like when Square-Enix posted that website with just those four extremely beautiful looking backgrounds in the shape of letters, and we all assumed it was the next Square-Enix SaGa game. Or when they first put on the Final Fantasy PS4 port footage and we all thought it was a remake.

Reunion?

Reunion of a Mainline Final Fantasy game on a Nintendo home console,  I don't think any Mainline Square RPG series has returned to a Nintendo home console that started on one.

Oh right!

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

PLEASE NOT FF XIII SERIES. But knowing Square-Enix, this is what it will be.

I'm starting to get a nasty feeling it could be Minecraft; it's not M rated/"hardcore", and "biggest thing we've worked on" could refer to brand popularity.

Hope I'm wrong though, I'd rather use my testicles as piranha bait that play Minecrapft.

Didn't they also say it was an AAA game? Minecraft is just an indie that got lucky, so we should be free of it being this port.

@bigtakilla(in this way since I'm still not sure how to multi-quote): SE said that there would be no new KH games till KH3, so anything that release between now and KH3 will either be new versions of KH X(CHI) or ports of the collections, maybe a HD version of DDD but that would be weird as a standalone title.

COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).

-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst

I can't find the exact interview where they mention "AAA", but really, what does it even mean any more? It's used to describe everything from budget to genre to ratings; I can see Minercraft being labelled "AAA" simply on the basis of its massive popularity. Then again, I'm paranoid and pessimist. ;)

Expect something underwhelming that nobody asked for.

That way there's no way to be wrong.

I thought it was announced?

It isn't exactly a interview, it was from a Engine Programmer's experience listing, that mentioned a Wii U port of a AAA Unnanounced title, as one of his experiences:

http://nintendoeverything.com/rumor-tantalus-media-working-on-unannounced-aaa-wii-u-port/

And if we go by definition, a AAA game is:  In the video game industry, a AAA (pronounced "triple A") is a classification term used for gameswith the highest development budgets and levels of promotion. A title considered to be AAA is therefore expected to be a high quality game and to be among the year's bestsellers.

So yeah, not Minecraft or any indie.

I hope you're right.

So, it was "unannounced" as of June 2012... does that fit the bill for Destiny?

No, I'm pretty sure that the 2012 job description was about Deus Ex. The Tantalus guy told recently in the recording that the Deus Ex Wii U deal came into being because an Eidos Montreal guy saw a Mass Effect 3 Wii U video at GDC 2012 on a phone while they were drinking.

Mass Effect 3 for Wii U was announced at E3 2012 and the production of the new game started in January 2014 (and the job description talks about a game that was in development since June 2012 or longer).

EDIT: Yes, I was right: http://au.linkedin.com/in/graemew
