Forums - Sony Discussion - What I want to see from Ready at Dawn.

Let's get this out of the way, the order reviews are disappointing and the game is on the short side. I still think Ready at Dawn has an amazing and tight team.  I hope the rumors about Sony buying Ready at Dawn are true. I am a huge Ready at Dawn fan and think they would we well suited (as they are rather small) for a Jax and Dexter or Crash Bandicoot revival.

Just look at their track record:

Daxter: An amazing first attempt, this proves Ready at Dawn has the capabilities to do a 3D platformer justice
God of War: Chains of Olympus: An amazing portable game based on the God of War series.
Okami (Wii port): Fantastic port with well-done motion controls and back to their platforming roots
God of War: Ghost of Sparts: The game was good, it didn't amaze me as much as the first though

The Order 1886 is their first true next-gen console attempt. While the tech and art design are amazing, the rest of the game is lacking. I hope the game does well enough for Ready at Dawn to at least get another contract with Sony. Hopefully a new Daxter title! Is this wishful thinking, maybe...Am I a Ready at Dawn fanboy, absolutely! Did I enjoy The Order, no.

What would you like to see from Ready at Dawn?

Note: If Amazon didn't send my copy early, I might have cancelled my pre-order.

I haven't played The Order yet so my opinion may change, but I'd like to see them take the issues brought up about that game and make a sequel. I'd actually be pretty bummed if Sony bought them just to have them bring back old franchises.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I think they would do amazing justice to the old franchise though. They could help bring back 3D platformers mainstream. Granted I'm burnt out on FPS and TPS game to begin with, so I'm probably not the best judge.

May seem harks but they should stick to making installments in other franchises rather than create their own.

I'd like to see them make remakes for Nintendo's handhelds. They could push the 3DS to its limits.

This is just ridiculous.  CoO is the weakest entry in the GoW series.  GoS outdoes it in every conceivable way.

That aside I will probably want an awesome expanded upon sequel to the Order which apparently ends abruptly.  I do love 3d platformers but given the lore and world they've crafted it's pretty great for their first IP.  Sanzaru made my favorite Sly yet while Daxter is my least favorite in that franchise.  I'd rather have Sanzaru handle Jak and Daxter 4 or Sly 5 next and help Insomniac with the 3d platformers.

I think the IP of The Order has potential, they just need to give more focus to gameplay and such. Assuming reviews are representative. And I think they could do very well with a second installment now that they have their whole pipeline on the visual side worked out.

The Order can become a very good IP. Graphics and performance aside, it had decent gameplay and terrific music. The plot was alright for the most part, but fell on its face at the end. I hope RAD decides to make this into a series and fix the flaws of 1886.

They should merge with Quantic Dream. I heard they're good at cinematic stuff.

I want to see The Order 2, I think this series could have a good future.
