Hello everyone! OnlyForDisplay here bringing you my first thread. With that, lets get started!

Humble Beginnings: The Start of a Hobby

Ahh.. yes, playing my first videogame in Banjo Kazooie. I really didn't know how well I was doing at the time, but I knew that said game would be something special that I would end up holding for the future. After becoming more accustomed towards said games difficulty and rewards, and after reaching 100% on it, I had decided to take on another challenge in a game I had not heard of at the time, but many of my friends at school were talking about; The Legend Of Zelda. Constant nagging of my mother, a trip to GameStop and $50 later, Ocarina of Time was mine to enjoy. The intro scene, the very first boss, and the culmination of the game as whole helped me further dwelve into the world of video games itself. With one final great push thanks to the likes of Pokemon Stadium, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, and Banjo Tooie, not only was my favorite hobby cemented, but also my respect and appreciation for Nintendo, which would pave the way towards Sony and Microsoft. Speaking of Sony, said company and his it influenced my gaming experience is next.

Growing Up With The Planet Buster: Experiences Expanded:

For many, the PS2 had further solidified Sony's position as a premier console maker. For myself, after missing out on the PS One initially, I wasn't going to let this opportunity slip, as I knew there was something special about the system. Before that though, Nintendo still remained the first choice, and even though Sunshihe did wonders, Melee is where my competitive side started to unravel. Shortly after taming said side, a PS2, Ratchet and Clank and Jak & Faster were already within my hands; further allowing me explore different perspectives on games. While I initially had problems with the Lombax, my experience was greater than when I was little, and said game kick started one of my most celebrated franchises; placing alongside Legend of Zelda and Banjo Kazooie. After those two, my GameCube received less attention; Pikmin being the last game I brought for it. For the remainder of the 6th gen., it was high sailing for the PS2, later trying out Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, Kingdom Hearts, Ico, GTA San Andreas, Midnight Club, and many other games or franchises that would be important towards me. Even after the PS3's launch, my PS2 was still there, still kicking, and still enjoyable. Only after trying out and sadly giving up on Shadows of the Colossus did I make the jump towards the 7th gen.; igniting a new interest in another sleeping giant that would end up dominating North America and the UK. Microsoft, show me where you live!

A Fire Ignited: Sony's Brief Chill Lead Towards Microsoft's Nova Storm

Still excited to see what Sony had up its sleeve, I had brought Modern Warfare for it. Said game series would end up dragging me into semi-pro competitive gaming, but back towards the story. The series had caught my interest, an interest I didn't enjoy until Black Ops 2, but before then, Future Tools of Destruction, ATV Max Off Road Fury, Uncharted and Killzone 2 would await. Uncharted definitely added another series towards my beloved cache of series I hold high. However, my road with Sony had come to an end after Uncharted 2 and God of War 3. Wanting to further expand my horizons and increase my knowledge for my favorite hobby, Microsoft finally caught my attention with Halo Reach. After getting a job when I was a teen, a $60 yearly sub., a wired controller, and an Astro A40 Gaming Audio System, Halo Reach was the go to for much of 2010-2011. This however, severely crippled my chances to expand horizons on different games, and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 would further drive said point home. Playing nonstop 8 hours a day; grinding and competing with other teams on GameBattles became the absolute priority. Within that time, I became a semi-pro gamer; wanting to be the next NaDeShoT or Parasite. Thankfully though, after meeting a good person who introduced me towards EarthBound, I had finally saw what I was missing since Banjo Kazooie; enjoyment and enlightenment. Shortly after this event, my 360 was still my go to, but a Wii was the next purchase. Super Mario Galaxy reignited my passion for celebrating what a game is as opposed towards taking advantage of what the game offered you in the case of Black Ops 2 for me. Smash Bros. Brawl was soon after, followed by The Conduit, Sonic Colors, and Donkey Kong Country. This had allowed me to once again explore what I had set out to do after my days of the N64; broaden horizons. With that, let us continue.

As The Sun Rises, So Does The Options:

Much more understanding of what my flaws were in my teenage years, I had decided to further dwelve into companies I haven't not heard of; Platinum Games being the first with Bayonetta. Their stellar hit Vanquish came soon after, which won over my interest. Atlus came after, due towards my friends constant recommendations. After watching him play some Persona 4, I vowed I would invest into some of their products. I have yet to do it, but after my purchase of the Xbox One, said company I am going after. However, one developer that had peaked my interest after hearing about a game called "X" back during E3 2013 was Monolith Soft. I have never had a PS One, but the game Xenoblade Chronicles was available on my Wii. After having $65 dollars for it, I wanted to see how well the series, but I was already too late, and the game was out of my price at $100. I was devastated, but playing the Last Of Us on my friends PS3 did alleviate some of the pain. If I can get a Wii back, or buy a Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles...... mark my words, I'm coming for you! After playing the Last Of Us and then Into the Nexus, I decided to get more involved with another friend of mine who started a nonprofit organization way back in 2012. Due to my competitive grind, I didn't do my part to help, but now, I see it in a different light, as writing articles and reviews is something I now enjoy greatly; even if my mobile phone decides to delete the article I just typed for multiple hours on end. Said topic almost completes up my introduction, so let's get to it shall we?

Reborn A Critic: Unbiased Edition:

My first official review came in the form of the Avenger Reflex; a tool that helps your reflexes within competitive games. I know I gave up on that road long ago, but I wanted to see if the claims were true. After finding out a definite yes, I got a shout out from the company soon after the published review. Sadly though, said review has been the only thing that I have done in a while. As stated before, my mobile phone deletes any sent articles to my boss; which in turn, causes 2-3 hours of analysis, testing, research and/or writing to disappear. However, shortly after a Xbox One, a Labtop is next agenda, so there is hope. Until then, a mobile phone is the only option. That being, I have more to come, but it does take time, but I am progressively learning faster towards analysis and research while enjoying games better than what I understood when I began. That being said, while all of this happening in 2014, my bias was finally destroyed. No longer hog-tied down towards either a franchise or company, I had attained enlightment, which allowed me to explore and dwelve even further; PC Gaming being a first for me in the name of five Nights At Freddy's. My bias extinguished, my journey towards obtaining a greater understanding continues. Said statement ultimately lead me towards VGChartz, which wraps up my introduction. Let us read along!

An Unfollowed Path Towards The Journey Of Acceptance:

After starting out in VGChartz, initially, I was a bit nervous. "How would people react?" "What can I say to contribute towards a discussion without being pedantic?" "Am I following all forum and website guidelines?" "How can I better myself towards the site and others in this community?" These questions and others culminated into my head. This lead to me towards my sig; borrowed from influences such as Dave Mustaine, Cliff Burton, Bruce Dickinson, David Dramon, Stevie Wonder and others. The biggest contributor was an anime character by the name of Itachi Uchiha. As he wasn't bound towards his own brethren, he knew what it took to obtain acknowledgement; by being acknowledged by others when you strive to achieve something. Using these words, I had decided to venture onwards into the site, and so far, I am enjoying myself. While I don't know what lies ahead for me, I do know thatthat the future is bright for the site and the rest of us. I just hope I can join many of you experience and see the day.

That sums up my whole introduction. Thank you for reading, as it much appreciated! Before I go, I would like to explain some of my goals and games I want to obtain. They are as follows;

1.) Make As Many Friends As Possible:

Naruto Uzumaki didn't become Hokage by himself; he became it due towards the support he had. For me, my goal isn't based on obtaining a higher status on the site, like a moderator, at least not yet, but to understand many of you to better myself as a person in the community and as whole.

2.) Obtain 100,000 GamerScore:

This is going to be a while yet, but a goal I really want to get after. It isn't about reaching the number, but more about what and how well I am involved with the community, be it a contribution or assistance, that I can offer; all the while forging a path onward towards it.

3.) Obtain Xenoblade Chronicles:

Demons Crest, Metal Warriors, or even Suikoden 2 can be added, but the more my friends keep talking about it, the more my interests are rising. It isn't so much the game I want, but for me, what it can do for my gaming experience. I have a feeling if I can obtain and then beat Xenobmade Chronicles, my horizons will be expanded to such a point where even something like HyperDimensionNeptunia from NIS America and other lesser known games will open up even more for me, allowing me to increase my knowledge exponentially.

Well, as stated before, that concludes my introduction. Thank you reading, and if you have any questions.regarding any other gaming experience, feel free to ask! I will do my very best to answer. Again, thank you for reading and until next time, this is not just a start, but:

Thank you Truck! Much appreciated! My phone is rather.....dated. In addition, this auto correct isn't doing any favors; especially considering some of the game titles in my intro; Jack and Faster being the highlight.
