I'm sure I will still enjoy babadook. It's not like I ONLY watch gore fests. I actually watch a very wide variety of movie genres.

i know its just formality :p

Haven't seen it but I'll keep a lookout for it. I suggest both "Let The Right One In" and "Let Me In". The first is the swedish original and the other one is the american remake of the first one. I posted trailers of each movie. Both are good for different reasons but the original is my favorite. I also suggest "Feast". It's a pretty good creature flick with lots of gore.

I loved Let the Right One In, but found the US remake Let Me In to be a far lesser film.  Let the Right One In was tragic and somber and yet horrific at times, it was very distinct.  Great suggestion.

This movie better be good! I'm about to watch it.

If I am disappointed then I am coming for you.

I tried to outline what I like in horror. Atmosphere and dread.  I am not as big a fan of "LOUD NOISE!" startling me and giving me a heart attack.  When a film sticks with me I enjoy it a sopposed to one I laugh about later as it just shocked me more than scared me.

I'm honestly surprised that you seen "Let the right one in" much less liked it. I loved it too. Let me in was too amercanized. Trying to make it fast paced.

Saw it, bought it instantly and re watched it.  I loved the story and characters and tone.   It had many layers to its dark themes and felt kids did a great job acting.

Let Me In...it just was not needed, and I am probably harder on it because I kept thinking "why did you remake a near perfect film?"

I thought it was pretty bad. Too slow and not scary at all.
