Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which video game story moved you the most?

Films, Music, Books, etc moved people from what is being told in their medium.  These mediums help us mold history or ourselves just because how it influence us and how we share the same experience that it feels like it discern majority of our brain cells from what is being told.

We hear how Bob Dylan influenced American History, how Catcher in the Rye make us say "this book is about me", how Requiem for a Dream made you depressed for a whole weekend; but we don't hear a lot of people talk about how video game change their lives or the way they see things.  I believe video game unlike Spielberg is a form art and an amazing way to tell story and how it immerse you from the story or the lives you are portraying within the game.

With that, which video game story moved you the most?

Mine would be Silent Hill 2, Just the progression of James in the story and make you feel like he is (or you are) a monster with his battle within himself.. and that letter in the end... perfect way to end it.

Probably Xenoblade, the gameplay was getting tedious, but the story was so good I had to keep playing.

i actually expect that to happen :P

Final Fantasy VIII

The one that moved me the most was definitely Skyward Sword, but Beyond Good & Evil is great too..

Edit: Oops, forgot to mention Super Paper Mario.

Edit 2: Also, Back to the Future: The Game, I really enjoyed the story and the loads of references to the movies.

The Walking Dead. Without getting into spoilers because the second season is still pretty new, I'll just say it's the closest a game has ever come to wrenching a tear from my stony face.

Looking back, I'm actually going to say Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

It's just a beautiful yet sad story on loss and loneliness.
